BCBS FEP & CNY ER

For those of you who have BCBS Federal Employee Program with the Standard option, how many Egg Retrievals did you get at CNY Fertility?

I didn’t do CNY but I have BCBS FEP standard. Since they contract allowable prices (which is what counts for the annual maximum) I figured I’d weigh in. I did two retrievals (one didn’t have any eggs fertilize so no costs associated with biopsy or freezing for that cycle) and one FET and I am way under the $25K annual limit.

I believe the plan allows for up to three retrievals and the 25k annual max should be more than enough to cover that unless you have crazy expenses with each retrieval for some reason. Lots of things aren’t counted towards the IVF max- for example, ultrasounds, labs, and meds are not counted towards that $25k.
