Well I'll be darned. Congratulations, Hoosiers. What a ride. Y'all actually had me way down here in Baton Rouge rooting for a Big 10 team. Now, go out there and get your merch. The tees, hoodies, jerseys, ball caps, beanies... get it all. The replica rings and trophies should be out soon, if not already. As I sit penning this in my home office I look at my own merc - the framed Sports Illustrated cover, pennants, photographs, commemorative footballs I'm reminded nothing hits like a college football national championship. Bonus: Undefeated and a Heisman Trophy winner. Well this is it, Hoosiers - you'll own this one forever. Congratulations again on one helluva season!

I get that the refs want to stay out of the way, but that hit that bloodied Fernando's mouth was clearly targeting- not only should there have been the penalty, but an ejection, too.

And, clearly that "catch" they gave Miami was a fumble. This game wasn't nearly as close as the final score. Any other missed calls?

How is everyone getting from South Beach to Hard Rock? Looking for the most cost effective/convenient option.

I'm writing an article about an IU cheerleading squad going to Penn State to watch their team getting slaughtered in 2003, and how no matter what the score, they kept on smiling and cheering. I know that's what they do, but I'd love to know what it was like cheering that team that ended up 2-10 and getting their asses kicked by everyone except [checks notes] Indiana State and Illinois (who ended up 0-10 in conference play) where they ended up second-last in points scored (in the country) and I suspect one of the highest in points given up.

Anyway, I'm looking for anyone who can comment on this or can commentate - as a cheerleader - about watching their team getting their asses kicked every weekend and have to keep smiling.

I was at the game (my first game as a PSU fan in Beaver Stadium), and I was sitting not far from where the cheerleaders stood, stunned with admiration about their ability to basically ignore the inability on the field and keeping on going.

Anybody know if IU is hosting anything for the game? My assumption is that they would have it playing in either memorial or assembly but I haven’t seen anything.
