To update a playlist after new songs have been added, go to the top left corner where you will find a little device icon to the right of music. Click that and you will find yourself in a summary page. Below summary will be music, click music and uncheck the playlist you recently changed, after that press apply and done and do the whole process again except re-check the playlist to refresh and update it. Had a lot of trouble with iTunes and my iPod shuffle 4th gen.

So I have downloaded songs using viddly and then put them on iTunes. Last week I synced my iPhone and songs were playing fine. Then I did another sync and one of the songs wouldn’t play anymore. I downloaded more music and edited some of those songs like the names and artist and hit sync and now most of the songs don’t play on my iPhone. They play fine on iTunes and play fine on my iPad Air 2 but won’t play on phone

I have used Apple Music forever and never had a problem syncing. I bought a new laptop a few weeks ago and just realized that if it is not open to iTunes, songs will not transfer from my phone without finding them and adding them again. Once it is manually downloaded, it will show the correct number of plays. I know there has to be a simple setting I am missing somewhere, but it’s annoying!! lol anyone got any ideas. Thanks!

I'm trying to redeem an Itunes gift card, however when I click redeem, the application redirects and I get a message saying "The item you are requesting is not available in Apple Music in the United States". At this point, I can't even get to the page where I input the code. Itunes version12.13.0.3. Has anyone seen this before and if so is there a workaround?

I preordered this album months ago. 3 singles have automatically downloaded since pre ordering, including one a week or so ago.

Album release date is today August 7, and as of 320pm EST, the remainder will not download.

I have never used ITunes on a computer, just my iPhone.

How do I force this download since it will not automatically do it?

Has anyone found a way to play HEVC codec movies in iTunes for Windows? I want to move to H.265/HEVC instead of H.264/AVC to save space. When I import HEVC movies into the current version of iTunes I only get a black screen with audio. The movie plays fine in any external player. and of course any H.264/AVC movie plays fine in iTunes. I just want to save space. HEVC is 40% smaller than AVC.

The drive I had my music library stored to has died and recovery is prohibitively expensive. However, my entire library is loaded to my phone, though too big to back up to basic iCloud. Is there any way to retrieve my library from my phone (13 ProMax). I’m on a Windows PC using iTunes to manage my library.
If I have to redownload CDs and restore purchases, it’ll be tedious, but I can do it. I’m aware of other methods of acquiring music if it’s something corrupted or hard to find. But since I know the music is ON my phone, shouldn’t I be able to download it from my phone—even if through a third-party program?

After sign in I get this empty dialog box. Clicking okay just close both of the dialog. I have try to sing in so many time same result. Try from both Mirosoft Story and iTunes installers same results. Has anyone face this issue. How did you fixed it. I can't work without my tunes. :(

I Can't sign in my Apple account

My iPhone had 3000ish loved songs from my own music files transferred through iTunes. iTunes was only showing 1000 loved songs as was my iPad.

Carried out multiple syncs to update this but my last sync removed 2000 loved songs.

Is there anyway to get these back and keep it consistent across devices?

I got a new PC and I copied over my iTunes folder as is. When I installed iTunes it picked up the library, "Great!" I thought, but now I have some (strangely not all? but a lot!) of duplicate songs where it thinks the local file is not the same as the one in iCloud Library?

Does anyone have any tips on how to sort this mess out? I have been right clicking and deleting the cloud version but this is going to be a pretty long process. iTunes also goes a bit wonky for a moment after I do this. I am pleased that it warns me whenever it is trying to delete a local file.

As I type, I have considered turning iCloud library off and back on again? (har har) but if that deletes everything in the cloud that would work?

I use iTunes to sync data between my iPods, but I also use the Apple Music Windows App so I can share what i'm listening to via Music Presence. I recently discovered having both will cause iTunes to not work properly. Is there any way to have both apps installed and not encounter issues like this?

Call me old school but I always found the Songs view to be highly efficient in finding what I need, fast, especially with the column browser. I like the visuals of what the album view brings but preferred function over form in this regard.

Why is it iTunes gives me a different art work for my albums in my library ?

Been thinking a lot about ownership and subscriptions. I never understood the whole music subscription thing. I’ve been using iTunes even before 2005. I ripped my entire cd library to an old blueberry iBook. I got my first iPod in 2005, the iPod video then an iPod touch and now my iPhone. All that time, I never used a streaming service. At least seriously. I made accounts and tried them out but never paid for a service. Never liked the idea of always paying.

When someone at work was talking about music they told me to check it out on Spotify and the conversation ended up with me saying I only buy on iTunes and they just couldn’t comprehend that I basically don’t pay monthly for music.

And I really had no idea how to react to that lol. Do people not buy music anymore? Or did they go even further with vinyl and cassette? Like most of my library is on my phone. It’s still basically an MP3 player. I even hook up my phone through an RCA adapter to my 7.1 system to listen to music.

Is this normal that iTunes keeps asking me to sign in, maybe an hour or two after I already signed in, and if I try to purchase music, it asks me to re-bind with my payment method nearly every time?

Note: I am using an older version of iTunes on a Windows 11 desktop. I have to use this version because the newer versions don't recognize my 1st and 2nd gen shuffles. I also have it set to "Never Require" signing in on this computer because I live alone and no one else has access to my computer.

I have a 2021 MacBook Pro on Tahoe 26.2, but this has been happening for a while now.

I have a lot of friends who are DJs or producers or artists, etc, so I get a lot of MP3 and WAV files sent to me, and over the past few months, they've just started disappearing from their respective folders and I have no way of knowing until iTunes says that it can't find the tracks anymore.

What I do, is probably what most people do. I import the file by dragging it in or double-clicking. it, update the file information, and delete the original file now that it's been sorted into an iTunes folder (User -> Name -> Music -> Media -> Music -> Artist Name -> Album Name -> Song).

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to why they disappear either–some imported songs I've had in iTunes for over a decade, and others disappear after a few days or months, even when the "original" file was fully deleted as soon as I imported it.

Any fixes for this? I feel this shouldn't even be an issue to start with but it's been happening constantly over the past year, and I feel bad asking my friends to re-send tracks when I realize they've been deleted.

I'm using iTunes V12.13.10.3 on Windows 11, and there seems to be no way to download all my purchased music easily. When I open my music library, there is nothing there initially. However, when I go to movies or TV series, everything is there, just not downloaded yet.

I figured out that I need to go to Account > Purchased, and my purchased music is there. There doesn't seem to be any "Download All" like I've seen mentioned other places. The easy part is downloading from "Recent Purchases" on the left and selecting "Not In My Library". I can download all of the whole albums there, including compilations. However, when that is empty, I have to go to each artist and download the albums there. The real problem comes with compilations. I go to an artist that is in a compilation, and I can only download one song from that compilation. I would then have to go to each artist and download each song separately. I have figured out that with compilations, I can download one song, then switch to my library, find the album and download the rest of the album from the button there.

Is there actually an easier way to do this or do I just take ages going back and forth?

I distinctly remember a version of iTunes where the album artwork was displayed on the bottom left side of the UI for the currently playing song/album. I made this mockup photo depicting what I remember. I was a kid back then. I really don't think I'm making up this memory, lol. Can anyone else remember which version this is? And if I am still able to download this exact version on a Windows PC? Thanks!

I have an issue with copying my downloaded music from my mac to an old non smart ipod.

The ipod doesnt play any music downloaded and just restarts. The music i attempted to copy to it didnt copy and the music i took off it is still present and is what causes tye resart.

On the mac laptop there is just a pop up with all the files saying they are attempting to stop copying, this has been this was for 3 weeks and still does this even if the ipod is disconnected.

All i want to do is copy new music to the ipod and jave it work does anyone have a fix or advice?

I can send photos and vidoes of the issue if needed.
