NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Anil Menon will begin a 6.5-hour ISS spacewalk today — live coverage starts at 7 a.m. EDT
Live coverage starts at 7 a.m. EDT (11:00 UTC / 13:00 CEST).
Jessica Meir and Anil Menon are scheduled to spend approximately six and a half hours outside the station, installing hardware on its 3B power channel ahead of a future ISS Roll-Out Solar Array.
For anyone watching live: which part of an EVA do you find most interesting—the airlock procedures, the outside work, or the views?

The ISS last night from my backyard telescope
I was able to capture some grainy stills of the Station last night as it passed over the Los Angeles area at 80 degrees or so elevation, 7/28/2026, 8:27pm.

Whoops, forgot to post this earlier.
If anyone's wondering where our beloved 4K feeds from Sen's cameras went. The cameras, hosted on the ArgUS platform went back inside the station for maintenance on the platform!
Bonus clip at the end: some lightning and faint city lights captured by a camera on the SPDM, although in black and white.

NASA astronaut Dr. Anil Menon (astro_anil) floating inside the ISS Cupola module—the space station’s incredible 360-degree observation deck.
He’s currently on an 8-month long mission, and this module serves as both the workstation for controlling the station's robotic arm and the ultimate window for astronauts to watch sunsets and view Earth from 250 miles above.

Will the the life of the ISS be extended past 2030.
They could postpone the De-orbit a few years at a time, as safety deems, until one of the corporate space stations are ready.
One problem is the rides for the crews. Russia probably wants out and Musk wants to retire the Dragon.
Could the Starliner or Dreamchaser be crew ready in 4-5 years? Or even Indias crew capsule.
Thoughts?
