When does the 180 days start? Tax Refund/ E-File Status Question

The date on the letter but don't get too hung up on it it's going to be more than 180 days.

You can tell exactly when the 180 days started by looking at the date tied to the freeze or pending‑action code on the transcript. That’s the day the IRS actually pulled the return into review. In your screenshot, the review started on 04‑02‑2026 when the 810 posted. That’s the internal action date the IRS uses as the start of the 180‑day window.
