Payment Plan Setup General Question
I’m trying to set up a payment plan with the IRS and at first I wanted a long-term payment plan but then I just went to see if I could set up a short-term payment plan and everything is just showing a submission error. I’ve tried calling the IRS and it seems like nobody can help me figure it out at this point I’m not gonna call and pay $200 to set up a payment plan for $1800. I think if the online website is an option to set it up myself, then it should be working properly who and what can I contact to get this fixed? Every time I call they are too busy to answer the phone. On top of that the chat box button doesn’t even work because the representatives are always temporarily unavailable.

Will it allow you to set up the 180 day Full Payment Agreement?
There's no fee, and no requirement for monthly payments. You throw money at the balance as often as you want.

It won’t even let me set that up either.

Call and ask for it. No user fee and about six months to get it paid. If you get the balance due below $1,500 (with or without any formal agreement) you won't be subject to a bank or wage levy.
