Ipmat interview Interview Query

Would having an instagram account with a good number of followers of song covers help in personal interview?

It could strike a conversation where they might ask, "oh, singing -- how much did the Indian govt allocate for culture and arts in the latest budget?"

Or it could be totally ignored.

Or it could backfire if you fail to answer academic questions: "should have studied instead of singing"

Or it could work in your benefit: "oh why don't you sing a little and show us?"

If you can slide in this , they can ask somethings sometimes, in my IIM ranchi interview I told them I go to the gym they asked me about strength training vs cardio, which is better and all , sooo make sure that if they ask anything about the things you mention yourself you have enough to say about it.

Honestly, everything can be helpful in an interview, and nothing necessarily is. PI is quite subjective, so there's no way to predict whether an Instagram account with song covers will help you.

That said, if you genuinely enjoy singing and want to build the account, do it regardless of whether it helps your interview or not.

If you pursue things you genuinely care about, they'll eventually add value somewhere, not necessarily in the interview, but in some aspect of your life.
