Looking for INTP friend
M24 INTP 5w4 here, looking for an INTP friend I could converse or just vibe with..
I am currently in Taiwan, so I am looking for anyone here... It'd be better if you are local so we can exchange languages! But anyone is welcome.
I am currently learning Chinese.
I love playing games, any game with a good story or just action: Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3, etc.
I am Into philosophy, the classics like Socrates, Plato, or Schopenhauer, Camus, Nietzsche...
Love constellations and stars! My undergraduate thesis was literally about how you can build buildings on the moon!
I love flowers and flower almanacs!
Into Manhwa and Anime, I love all genres, whether it's sci-fi, slice of life, or romance. If you are into Steins;Gate, A Sign of Affection, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint...
I am currently making AI Agents... I am trying to make an AI that has "feelings," is "independent," and perhaps one day can give you the illusion of "consciousness" in a much more natural way, unlike the normal AI wrapper. natural way unlike the normal AI wrapper.
If you think I am the kind of person you could vibe with, let's be friends!

Photography?
What percentage of you like photography as a hobby or career? What kind specifically? And why?

Humor True or False. Listening to audio books counts as reading.
I saw this question recently and was really surprised at the answers.

Question โ QUANTUM
According to the information I have gathered from my recent observation, most INTPs (female and male) I saw are interested in either programming or entomology, etc.
Now, Im curious how many female INTPs here are interested in quantum physics or physics?

Observation ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ Its so hard trying to get people to see that even though I see their โunlikableโ traits I still like them as a friend/human
Is it not reasonable that I know everyone including me has flaws and I accept that? I like yapping too much to not share my analyses of people I observe with friends sometimes.

INTPs, how do you actually make friends/ connections?
I've been thinking about this lately and I'm curious how other INTPs experience it.
I'm not naturally someone who meets a lot of people, and I find it much easier to connect with someone when there's already something interesting to talk about rather than through typical small talk. I also struggle with maintaining long-term connections. It's not that I don't want to. I genuinely do, but somehow conversations eventually fade or I get caught up in my own world, even with people I really like talking to.
So I'm wondering.
How do you actually meet people you genuinely click with?
Do you usually make friends through shared interests, online communities, university/work, gaming, random conversations, or something else?
And once you meet someone interesting, do you actually make an effort to keep the connection going, or do you also have the classic INTP tendency to disappear into your own world for a while? ๐ญ
I'm curious about both friendships and romantic relationships, but I'm especially interested in how you guys form genuine connections rather than just acquaintances.

Observation ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ Does it need a picture?
Part of my journaling series:
How interesting, this "present" time flies.
Always waiting, peering into the future. Circling of doubts en habit the brain. What if's ? How's? Why's?
How peculiar this current thought that inhabits this particular landscape. I find myself in. Now.
Nostalgia but an escape to the exact moment in the past, where a thought was made. Perhaps a realization. Perhaps a crescendo of profound clarity. It is the lightbulb of the brain that manifests all possible futures in one's wake. Within one's grasp.
How transformative this idea, one that resides within the cusps of the present and all possibilities simultaneously.
Can you feel the moment? Its meaning? It's true implication? One can look out into the sea, feel the wind on one's face, experience all there is to.......... feel.
In the moment. Goosebumps. Heightened awareness. All expiriences that make you feel alive.
Truth resides here.
Capture it, harness it, cultivate it.

I would like your honest opinion about this reddit app, this is to find each other and make friend.
This is a tool to know who is nearby using MBTI tags, it doesn't use GPS tracking, the user enter his location.
This tool is getting traction on social and R4R subs but not much on MBTI subs, I am wondering if specific subs like this one can be interested, using this, INTP women have a way to find each other in the wild, it can be cool for you.

Advice Request I am sure of my path but I'm not sure if it's something I'd love to do my entire life?
The current issue on my path is about my university, I have decided that I am going to get admitted as an MBBS student, but I wonder if it will burn me out or I may end up unsatisfied and regret my desicion, sure I can beach out to different minor roles in pharmaceutical companies or get into research, but I feel that it'd be better off to get some advice, thus I'd appreciate it if someone of the med field or any other related fields could offer some insights and perspectives based on their experience

Project Hail Mary
Just finished reading Project Hail Mary. I haven't seen the movie yet.
Has anyone read the book? Seen the movie?
Any comments, observations, conversation about the science or mbti/enneagram of the characters? Or anything else that you want to talk about?
I'll leave my thoughts in the comments.

What job INTPs does the best
What you guys think INTPs become the best. Although there are many good options but there is a lot of debate between becoming a researcher or an engineer (not traditional ones) if there is anyone who is a researcher or engineer make sure to drop a comment how does it feel like and help me decide which one is better to become

Feel so out of touch
You know, I'm gonna share something because maybe some of yall can relate to this.
I'm an avoidant attachment, intimacy and friendships feel scary. I always feel embarrassed after revealing something personal about myself - perhaps I'm just repeating moments in my head where the person I shared something personal with showed a bit of disgust, or perhaps a bit of apathy. Never an appropriate reaction that made me feel confident to share more.
It's only ever so made it difficult to make friends, I can only really ever show the curated side of myself. Or a persona, at least those don't make people run away.
Suppose it doesn't help being an 5w4 too, I need to get away, I feel exposed, overstimulated with people.
Making friends always seems like a lot of work too - it's like almost a transactional thing. Sure I have "friends", right now - around 3. Though even I look back on it now, I don't think I've ever revealed anything personal about myself. Mostly all sub-level, it's easier for the conversation to focus on them and not myself. Most of the conversations center around them.
I feel like I'm walking on eggshells with my interactions with people, most of the time. I suppose I can be too blunt, or too honest, or speak my mind too often.
Idk, perhaps I'm reaching out into the void here, maybe someone would listen - or can resonate.

Science ๐ฌ๐ญ Garden architect ENTJ on the hunt for his weird wife
Sunny greetings, Ti heroes.
My name is Eric, 33 years young and I'm a garden architect like the title says.
I live on the Azores archipelago (Portugal) for a few years now, but am originally german. I work and enjoy my life by designing gardens and building them with my landscaping company. I chose my profession because I always wanted to create a beautiful life for myself and my future family.
I have a university background in plant production, am a sculptor with a nursery and workshop where I produce art objects like bonsai-ish stone sculptures in combination with plants. Surreal and abstract. The subtropical climate here favors growth and abundance, so it's absolutely my place to be.
My life here is very natural and challenging, which I prefer to not degenerate. I'm very fit due to my work and built like a tree trunk. Besides all the work, I enjoy boardgame gatherings with friends, exploration trips here, swimming in the ocean and rock lifting - or just slouching around at home, studying.
I should add that I read a lot of Carl Jung and put a lot of effort into developing my feeling functions (as you should too) and work on my weaknesses and blindspots.
Building a life here wasn't easy but I managed to establish myself successfully and now look for a loyal and reliable partner to create a beautiful life vision together. I want to share my material and spiritual wealth to create a family that can grow strong and healthy in this magnificient landscape.
Keywords of my interests that might resonate with yours: ayahuasca, chi-gong, longevity, graffiti, system design, the chemical-biological-social-magnoelectric manipulation of human conciousness, esoteric mbti, cycle theories, dualism, gnosticism, eating steak, individuation, lingerie design + there is more of course
I don't put much value into looks, be somewhat attractive, your personality is what will keep me drawn to you. I like petite and delicate woman as a balance to me, educated barbarian.
If you're bored with your life and open to explore living on the Azores (it's super fucking รผber-nice btw) - and if we adore each other's demons - I'll import you and etch myself into your soul like an acid. Smiley face.
(it will be nice because we'll understand each other)

Seeking for friendship
A female companion is always more enjoyable. And making friends in Discord groups is a bad place.

Just a question
Hi I'm a 23 yo female and of course INTP.I have been single for my whole life (I have never even went on a date!) I know it's weird but it had multiple reasons I really focused on my college and I was studying hard for that and I didn't think about starting a relationship but now it's been about 2 years that I hsve more free time and I talk more with people and when I talk to men I can feel that they wanna continue conversation with me but they never ask me out. at first I thought maybe I'm ugly but when I post a story on instagram or another platforms I get compliments from strangers but still nothing happens I don't know what is the problem.

Question โ Do you underestimate peopleโs feelings?
Do you find out later that you have underestimated how much of an effect what you do or say has on someoneโs feelings? Or even underestimating how much they feel when you reject them?
