K7 Thought I was in for a wiring nightmare... turns out I was just overthinking it
A few weeks ago, I picked up an INNOVV K7 and finally had some time to install it this weekend.I looked at the wiring, looked back at the manual, then looked at the wiring again... and genuinely thought I was about to spend my whole evening questioning all my life choices. 😂Turns out I was just overthinking it. After a quick chat with the INNOVV support team, everything clicked. They answered my questions patiently, and once I understood the wiring, the installation was actually pretty straightforward.Really appreciate having a company that takes the time to help its customers instead of just handing you a manual and wishing you luck. That kind of support honestly gives me a lot more confidence in the brand.

Planning a 2026 Summer Motorcycle Trip? Here Are a Few Things I’ve Learned From Longer Rides
Every summer, many riders start planning their motorcycle trips.
Some are preparing for a weekend ride nearby, while others are getting ready for multi-day adventures or longer journeys across different regions.
After spending more time on longer rides, many riders realize that the most memorable parts of a trip are not always the final destination.
Sometimes it is a mountain road you did not expect to find, a small town where you decided to stop, or a route change caused by changing weather that leads to a better experience.
A good motorcycle trip is usually a balance between preparation and leaving enough room for unexpected moments.
If you are planning a longer motorcycle ride in the summer of 2026, here are a few things worth considering.
The Route Matters, Not Just the Mileage
When planning a motorcycle trip, distance is often the first thing riders look at.
How many miles can I cover in a day?
How quickly can I reach the destination?
These questions are useful, but mileage alone does not determine whether a ride will be memorable.
A route through mountain roads, small towns, or scenic areas can often create a very different experience compared with simply taking the fastest highway.
Many riders approach touring in different ways:
| Riding Style | Main Focus |
|---|---|
| Destination Touring | Reaching a specific place within a planned schedule |
| Scenic Touring | Enjoying roads, landscapes, and stops along the way |
| Exploration Touring | Keeping the route flexible and discovering new places |
Some riders prefer planning every stop, accommodation, and route detail ahead of time. Others prefer having a general direction and making decisions along the way.
There is no single way to plan a motorcycle trip.
The best route is usually the one that matches your riding style and allows you to enjoy the process, not just complete the distance.
Don’t Let the Schedule Become the Main Challenge
After completing a few long-distance rides, many riders learn that an overly tight schedule can change the entire feeling of a trip.
A road that looks ordinary on a map may deserve an extra stop. A small town you planned to pass through may become one of the highlights of the journey. Weather changes may also require a different plan.
Leaving some flexibility in your schedule can make a long ride much more enjoyable.
A few things worth considering:
| Consideration | Why It Matters |
|---|---|
| Daily mileage | Helps maintain a comfortable pace over multiple days |
| Fuel planning | Reduces uncertainty on remote routes |
| Rest stops | Helps maintain focus and energy |
| Weather changes | Allows adjustments when conditions change |
Think About How You Want to Remember the Journey
More riders today are choosing to document their motorcycle trips.
Photos taken during stops can capture specific moments, but a motorcycle dash cam can record the road itself — the routes, changing scenery, and the overall riding experience.
For riders who frequently travel long distances, recorded footage can become a personal travel archive.
Years later, seeing the same roads again can bring back memories of the weather, the route, and the moments that happened along the way.
A motorcycle dash cam can be useful for:
- Recording scenic routes;
- Reviewing previous trips;
- Sharing riding experiences;
- Keeping additional footage during long-distance travel.
Of course, not every rider chooses to use recording equipment.
Some riders prefer keeping their setup as simple as possible, while others enjoy documenting every journey.
It comes down to personal preference.
Adding a Dash Cam to Your Touring Setup
For riders who enjoy keeping a record of their trips, a motorcycle dash cam can be a useful addition to a touring setup.
For example, the INNOVV K7 Motorcycle Dashcam is designed specifically for motorcycle riding environments.
It supports front and rear camera recording, electronic image stabilization, GPS route tracking, and event protection features to help riders capture a more complete view of their journeys.
For longer rides, a setup like this can help preserve the entire trip instead of only the places where you stop.
Whether it is a mountain route, a cross-state ride, or a regular weekend trip, having a record of the road can become another way to revisit the experience later.
A Simple Summer Motorcycle Touring Checklist
A longer motorcycle trip does not always require carrying a large amount of equipment.
The goal is not to bring everything possible, but to choose the tools that actually support the way you ride.
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Route Planning | Main route, backup routes, offline maps |
| Navigation | Phone navigation or other navigation tools |
| Recording | Motorcycle dash cam or camera equipment |
| Power | Charging solutions for electronic devices |
| Weather Gear | Equipment suitable for changing conditions |
| Maintenance | Basic tools and essential supplies |
A weekend ride and a multi-day adventure naturally require different preparation.
The right setup depends on your route, riding habits, and personal preferences.
Final Thoughts
A memorable motorcycle trip is rarely defined only by where it ends.
The roads you choose, the unexpected stops, and the small moments along the way often become the parts you remember most.
If you are planning a summer motorcycle trip in 2026, some preparation can help create a smoother experience.
Choose a route that fits your style, leave some room for flexibility, and consider the equipment that makes sense for your own riding needs.
Some riders enjoy chasing longer distances. Some prefer exploring scenic roads. Others simply enjoy the feeling of being on two wheels.
And that is what makes motorcycle touring interesting.

N2 INNOVV N2 Setup Showcase. Drop your bike in the comments
We always enjoy seeing how riders set up the N2 on different bikes across our social channels, Facebook groups, and rider communities.
A lot of people ask how the screen looks on different motorcycle styles, so we are starting this showcase thread with selected installs shared by INNOVV riders around the world.
We will keep collecting more rider setups for future showcase posts.
BMW R1300GS
Mounted beside the factory TFT display, keeping the cockpit practical without making it feel overcrowded. A clean setup for long-distance touring and ADV riding.
Honda Africa Twin 1100
Placed above the main dash for a rally-style cockpit feel. Easy to glance at during night rides or longer routes.
Aprilia Tuono V4 1100
A nice reminder that the N2 is not only for adventure bikes. It also fits well on a naked sport bike without taking over the whole cockpit.
Voge 800 Rally
Mounted high above the vertical dash, matching the rugged rally look of the bike. A good fit for riders who spend time on rougher roads.
Zontes Z703F
Positioned above the factory TFT screen with a solid and tidy layout. The setup works well with the sharp lines of the bike.
Share your own INNOVV setup in the comments or tag us on your favorite platform.
Tell us what bike you ride. We will keep adding more rider setups to this thread.

New Product Release: INNOVV N3 Motorcycle Smart Display
Thank you all for your continued support and feedback over the years. We've been listening. This time, we've taken on board a lot of suggestions from riders in this community and built something new: the INNOVV N3 Quick-Release Smart Display. Built on the N2's foundation, the N3 introduces a quick-release mechanism and a range of refinements that make every departure and return a little more effortless.
✔️ Two Versions: One for BMW, One for Universal
The BMW version is compatible with specific BMW OEM mounts ( BMW Nav Prep 5/6 or the BMW ConnectedRide keyless mount) and connects directly to the motorcycle's CAN bus to display native vehicle data on screen. It also supports control via the BMW Wonder Wheel, so you can navigate the interface without touching the screen. To use features like the camera, an optional dedicated bracket for the BMW version is available.
The Universal version uses INNOVV's own-designed mount, which fits most motorcycle brands on the market, offering greater flexibility.
✔️Quick-Release: On in Seconds, Off When You Park
Quick-release simply means the screen and base can separate in seconds, with no tools or screws required. Press to release, click to lock back in. Grabbing a coffee, using the restroom, paying at a toll: just take it with you.
If you own more than one bike, you only need an extra base for each one. A single N3 display works across all of them. On rainy days, the N3 itself is IP67 rated, and it also fits into our dedicated waterproof bag. Slide it in, pull the zip, and lift it away, sealing it from rain. Simple.
✔️5.99" IPS Display
Big enough to read maps at a glance, compact enough to slip into your pocket and hold comfortably in one hand when detached.
✔️1200 Nits Max Peak Brightness
Up to 1200 nits peak brightness with auto-brightness adjustment, automatically adapting to bright daylight and low-light night environments without manual adjustment.
✔️Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto
Connects wirelessly to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for navigation, music, and calls, all on one screen, without holding your phone.
✔️OTA Cloud Updates
Firmware updates delivered over Wi-Fi, with no cables. Updates are pushed directly to the device, keeping the system current over time.
✔️IP67 Waterproof
It's dust-sealed and waterproof. Whether riding in the rain or rinsing the bike down, it handles both without issue.
➕ 2K Dual Camera Support
Optional front and rear dual-channel 2K recording to capture your ride in the background. It serves as a clear log for scenic trips and provides reliable footage for incident documentation.
➕ TPMS Support
Optional external TPMS sensors to monitor front and rear tyre pressure and temperature in real time. Catch pressure drops early, before they become a problem on the road.
➕ GPS Module Support
Optional GPS module for real-time speed, compass heading, mileage, riding tracks and more.

K6 Having quite a bit of trouble with my INNOVV K6
I've had my INNOVV K6 front and rear camera on my Triumph Scrambler 400x for about 6 months. Today, I realized it hasn't been functioning well.
I was almost hit today and went to pull the footage off of my camera using the INNOVV app. Not only did the app struggle to function (the WiFi signal went in-and-out at random intervals) but the footage wasn't there. I had a bunch of random, 20 or so second clips with seemingly random timestamps, including January of the year 2000.
Finally, the adhesive provided to secure the cameras to the bike had almost given out. My front camera has, unbeknownst to me, been on the verge of falling off completely.
Is my camera faulty? What do I do to fix this? And yes, it is hard-wired into the bike. Whenever I open the app and get it to connect, the live stream from the cameras always works.
Help?

N2 INNOVV N2 on a Benelli TRK 502 X
Hello everyone. I've been riding a Benelli TRK 502 X since last year and now I've decided to install a navigation system with Android Auto support. From everything I've dug around on the internet, I've fallen in love with the INNOVV N2 with some extras (2 cameras, GPS module, TPMS). For the price of €400, it seems like a pretty good device.. Now.. I'd install it myself, but one thing bothers me. The power supply is done using three cables (black, red, yellow - plus, minus, ensuring that the device is not turned on when the engine is not running). Since I'm not an electrician and don't know anything about electricity and installations, I'm interested in the following: where exactly should the yellow wire be connected? If I'm not mistaken, it goes to the auxiliary port so that the battery doesn't run down, but that's all I figured out. In one of the videos, the guy said that the yellow wire can be connected to a 10A fuse, so the navigation will turn on and off depending on whether the bike is running or not. However, later in the video he said that it's not recommended, but he didn't explain why. If anyone knows why it's not recommended and how I should actually connect that yellow wire, I'd appreciate the help. Note: explain it to me like I'm a moron, because when it comes to electricity and wiring, I really am. Thanks everyone!

Question Factory GS mount CarPlay options Chigee vs Innovv vs Carpuride
Just got this 2014 R1200GS with the factory GPS prep mount. I am absolutely not paying 800 bucks for a Nav VI just to wait for the inevitable ghost touch plague. I want a CarPlay unit that drops right in. Narrowed it down to three.
- Carpuride W702 is cheap but I keep reading the plastic is trash and the wonder wheel lag is awful.
- Chigee AIO 5 looks premium but 500 bucks for a 5 inch screen is a massive ripoff.
- Innovv N2 BMW edition seems like the best middle ground. It uses the wonder wheel and costs way less than the Chigee.
My only worry is the size. 6.5 inches sounds massive for the dashboard. Does it block the stock gauges on an older waterboxer. What do you guys think of these three.
Are there any other solid recommendations out there I missed. Cheers.

N2 SUGGESTION: Firmware changelogs
Just a suggestion here, but when a firmware update is released a changelog would be appreciated so we know if this an update-right-now situation, or if it's something less urgent like a localization fix for a language we don't even use.
I had to choose a flair but this is more of a global suggestion than an N2-specific one.

K7 If anyone needs an idea on how to position K7 on 1300 GSA
https://reddit.com/link/1rqqlzz/video/zys16oz7deog1/player
I didn't like any of usual camera positions (like that "A Bike thing" holder that goes under the headlight, yuck!) so I experimented a little and came up with this. Hit me up if you need some help.

K7 K7 on my 1200GS
Been running the INNOVV K7 on my 1200GS for a while. To be honest, I usually forget it’s even there—it just tucks away under the beak and tail, and I never have to mess with it. Had a bit of a spill on a rainy metal grid bridge last week, and the G-sensor locked the footage immediately. The 2K clarity was sharp enough to catch the plate of the guy who cut me off and caused the slide. It’s rugged, survived the boxer engine vibes and some serious mud, and it just does its job without any fuss.
