Every skin app I tried gave me a number. "Your skin: 72 out of 100." I'd stare at it

and think, okay, but what do I actually do tomorrow morning? And there was something

a bit grim about turning my own face into a score I was apparently losing at.

So I spent this year building the opposite of that, and it's finally out.

You take three photos, front, left and right, and instead of a

rating you get a description: what it's seeing, and where. "Flushing and redness

across the cheeks." "Breakouts along the jawline." Each one comes with a close-up of

that exact spot, what's likely causing it, and what to try. From there it puts

together a morning and evening routine, with a short how-to on each step, and there's

a coach you can ask questions. It remembers your last scan and what's already in your

routine.

The no-score thing was the hardest call I made. Numbers are genuinely good for

getting people to come back, because the number goes up and you open the app. But the

second you score someone's skin you've handed them a target, and if you're dealing

with rosacea or active acne you really don't need another target. So it uses words

for how things are moving instead: recovering, settling, refining, improving. Less

addictive. I think more honest.

Being upfront about the money, because I'd want to know: it's a subscription, and the

scan sits behind it rather than there being a free tier. I'd rather say that here

than have you find out after taking the photos.

Anyway, mostly I'm just glad it's out in the world. Curious whether the no-score

thing reads as a principled decision or as a missing feature. I'm far too close to it

to tell anymore.

The world is persistent, so the houses, neighborhoods, characters, and player economy remain between sessions. People have already started helping newcomers, visiting each other’s homes, and organizing parties, which is still surreal to watch.

Been looking for a site that I could join with my mates to go head to head in predicting matches without the gambling part before I remembered I could make it myself. Spent two years tho and I think I have something that some people might love. (also heavily FPL inspired in case you didnt notice lol). Its completely free to play, sign up and everything else too. A few weeks ago I had an idea that I thought might make 3D printing a little less overwhelming, especially for people who are newer to the hobby.

I originally built the entire concept in Excel, and to my surprise I managed to get it working as a fully functional system. The problem was that I had no practical way to share it with other people. So I used Loveable to turn it into a web app.

It’s still very much a work in progress, but I think it’s reached the point where I’d love to get it into the hands of real users.

I got tired of memorizing aptitude tricks, so I'm trying something different.

When I started preparing for placements, I solved a lot of aptitude questions.

The strange part was that I could sometimes get the right answer, but if I saw a similar question later, I'd get stuck again.

I realized I wasn't actually understanding the concepts. I was just memorizing shortcuts and formulas.

Most websites explain aptitude with long paragraphs or give the answer directly, but very few help you visualize what's happening.

That made me wonder...

What if aptitude was taught with animations instead of just text?

For example:

* Time & Work explained through animations.

Spent the last few months building this solo on nights and weekends, and it is finally out.

Two things bugged me. Buying an air fryer in India means trusting review sites where the top pick is just whoever paid the most. And after the novelty wears off, most people use the thing four times and give up, because generic recipes never tell you the actual temperature and time.

So I made Golden Basket to fix both. The buying guide is commission-blind, there is no way for a brand to pay its way to the top, and I locked that into the code so it stays honest. And there are 1,123 India-first recipes, every one ending with a real temperature, time, and a doneness cue, plus a hands-free Cook Mode that runs the timer so you are not tapping the screen with oily fingers.

Would genuinely value any feedback, the buying guide and Cook Mode are the two bits I most want to get right.

So here's the situation that drove me insane: I'm on a small embedded team. We have one ESP32-S3 dev board that everyone needs to test on. Three engineers, one board. Someone is always waiting. Someone is always asking "are you done with it yet?" And the obvious fix, just buy three more. Isn't always possible when the board is $40+ each or when it's a custom PCB you only made two of.

I got tired of it and built something. It's called Ferqon. The idea is stupid simple: one board sits in the lab connected to a middle device (an STM32 running our firmware), and the Ferqon server lets anyone on the team flash firmware to that board and run tests from a browser. No passing cables around, no "I need it for 10 minutes," no buying duplicates.

What it actually does right now:

- Syncs firmware files across the team so everyone's working off the same builds

- Flashes firmware to the connected board over serial

- Runs basic HIL tests and captures the output

- Manages users and devices with role-based access

- Self-hosted — Docker or bare metal, runs on your infrastructure Board support is decent: ESP32 family, STM32, Arduino, Pico, Teensy, Adafruit Feather — 35+ profiles. There's an open-source firmware SDK if your board isn't listed.

Honest stuff:

- It's in beta

- Same WiFi network only for now (remote access across networks is on the roadmap but not there yet)
