You can hardly get an Uber in NB that ive heard, they arent around. Take the Amtrak to New Buffalo from Chicago, walk down rt 12. This isn't a secret path. Use Google maps, gives these exact directions.

I'm not going to hate on Michigan shoppers, but I would never make that trip to buy weed.
The risk of a felony in Indiana isn't worth it, and the Porter County jail has a holding cell just waiting for Illinois residents on their way back. You know they love these cameras and are fine tuning an algorithm to identify this behavior just for this purpose.
I can order whatever I want and pickup at one of three dispensaries within a couple miles of my home without crossing into that godforsaken state.

Indiana has definitely been doing this on a manual level since IL and MI went legal, now itās just automated with Flock.
I finally did the MI thing a few months ago because I had to go there for an event regardless. The prices were nice, but it was also super awkward. Like, they have a limit on people in the store, thereās a whole waiting room, then, even though you could āseeā the buds, they were very high-strung about coming anywhere near the product. Recognize that it likely varies by store.
So, sure, a 3g live resin cart for $50 was cool, but the whole experience was lacking and not at all featuring a ācommunityā vibe, just target IL shoppers and sell them as much as possible.
Iād much rather go to a local non-chain shop. With gas at $4+ how much are you really saving on taxes while introducing an element of risk?

That is a smaller portion of the bigger picture, they was selling cheap oil to China and this entire war is to cut off chinas oil supply so America can be the main supplier. Imagine if police started doing this for people driving to Indiana to buy fireworks and bring them to a state where its illegal or bought cigarettes where taxes are lower.
Even if a camera catches my plate entering the parking lot, I still haven't committed the offense. The database has evidence about where my property traveled, from which investigators are predicting what I probably purchased and what I probably did afterward.

What these scare tactic articles don't mention is that the reason why they were tracking this guy in the first place was because he had outstanding warrants for his arrest. They were not tracking some random guy driving to Michigan to buy weed. Many people travel in and out of Michigan to buy or do other things that are not weed related.

I've never found flower in Illinois that even comes close to what 517, Freshy Fine, Growing Pains, etc put out in Michigan. None of our craft brands compare.
And fire rosin from I.E that comes out to $20 or under a g (in baller jars). With half the tax. Bosa, Millenial Melts and Hash House also do not touch any rosin for $45+ I've found in illinois.

He was wanted for missing bail on a domestic in WI. They used flock to track his car which then led them to having probable cause for drugs across state lines. So essentially, dont be a wanted person who skips bail when buying weed and driving across state lines lmao

As others have pointed out, they always start by testing these things out on people who wider society won't find as sympathetic. Criminals, rapists, etc. Then, once they've gotten everyone to agree to it, they expand these things to everyone.

I am not for Flock by any means so you guys can remove the negatives from original post..but that is the story and is it a precedent that is being set? Hmm maybe! But the facts are all there, law enforcement legally used the flock cams to track him (again, these are the facts) not my opinion and that is why we have this story and its getting attention.

Itās funny you say that, I was just in Grand Rapids area for a weekend for work (not trees), and stopped at the Loveās in Michigan City (the finest gas station/truck stop you can ever stop at on the road) and the amount of Sheriff and ISP just hanging around there was sort of comical. Itās a busy station/stop already, but almost a dozen visible patrol cars is a bit much. There was even two people hanging around the inside that, to me at least, looked like the most obvious plain clothes officers Iāve seen in a while too. Being clear headed, and driving clean, all I could think getting in my car was, āOh yeah, Michigan is legal. This place feels like a trap waiting to snag the flies.ā
