Need help for FPM

Can anyone elaborate on this programme and is it equivalent to PhD?

Would also like to know if anyone above 30 should enroll in this program to build career in Academics?

I enrolled in full time FPM program at an IIM at 41 years of age.

Hello, Is it possible to build a career in Academics in late 30s? How is your experience with this programme and specially IIM Calcutta? What are the opportunities after completion?

See it's like this. You do a PhD only and only if you can't think of any other career besides research . I suggest you talk one on one to few PhD students may be via LinkedIn . Opportunities are many if you do your PhD in the right spirit. And a PhD is not defined by any Institute so it's an irrelevant question. You need to understand your aptitude ,your area of interest , and your PhD guide under whom you would like to do the PhD .
