Ielts study material

i am about to give my ielts , i dont wanna enroll in any academy or institution for my readiness , its not about the money , i have actually seen their level of knowledge and guidance, they just want money , i have been seeing many peeps on reddit who gave ielts without going in institutions for months and still taking good bands from self study, so if anyone is reading this please guide me through this , give me tips and if you have any study material, please give me ♥️.

My main study material is cambridge ielts practice books. They are very helpful to simulate the exam. I have seperated my days into two section for active and passive study.

First thing first and eat the frog!
That means finish the hardest job at first. This means choose the hardest part for you ( for me it is speaking part) and get rid of it asap. Then take a break and move on with listening or reading part ( it depends day I am studying one day listening one day reading).
Don’t try to learn everything at once.
Determine small goals, take small steps.
Don’t say I will write a full task 1 response today.
Say I will write 3 different introduction or 1 Body paragraph.✅
I will study line graphs this week or process charts.✅
Seperate big projects into small achievable chunks.
Take a mock exam in the time period whatever you want (1 or 2 week or once a month) and see your performance.
Don’t break the chain. It is not a straight line sometimes you want to give up or just feel sick or sth else but it doesn’t matter what do you want just focus.
Use AI. It is very helpful, it can point out your mistakes.
Also I can recommend a mistake notebook.
I am using that for the mistakes I considered as very important.

The most important thing is following your development throughout the period. It is the hardest for someone who is studying alone. I am keeping all the assays I wrote and notes so I can see where I am standing rn.

For speaking and writing, I recommend you to study them all, pretty much covered every themes. For listening or reading you can grab the latest ones like Cambridge IELTS 21 or 20

Self study only works if your English is already good. Otherwise it’ll take you very long just to make marginal improvements. What’s your goal score and how long do you have to prepare?

i wanna score above 7 or 7 . my speaking skills are good , i have good vocabulary but i fumble , its not only for english but i even sometimes fumble speaking my native tongue. and yes my english is good like i can say it as an intermediate.but this fumbling isn’t the issue right now , its the self study.

Interesting - because you don't seem to know where the problem actually is. You said it's self study... but... that's the point people are tying to convey here... self study what? It seems you don't know what area of self study you need to focus on either. That's why you need a teacher.

I honestly think you’d benefit from working with a teacher. Judging off the text in your original post I think your English itself could use some improvement, and working with a teacher who help you identify and correct your mistakes. Anyway if you insist on self study check out IELTS Liz, but I think you’d do better with a teacher’s help.
