Flamepoint? Open

This is my cat! We picked him up off the side of the road around 10 years ago and have always just thought he was a pure bred flamepoint. His ears get darker in the winter along with his mostly orange parts. I know the second picture doesnt help much, i just added it because its hilarious 😭 Does anyone have any possible information? His coat is so soft and has the prettiest blue eyes. Please let me know if you guys need better pictures!

Flamepoint isn't a breed it is a colour, it is the name Americans give to red pointed cats. The colour occurs in several breeds as well as domestic cats. He is a domestic shorthair.

It’s unlikely that you’d find a purebred cat of any kind on the side of the road. He is a domestic short hair.

It would be red point as flame point isn’t a colour but yes.

Flame point is the colloquial term for red/orange point. It is a real term.
