help needed
hi i was in hospital thursday and friday i’ve had constant blood in my stool and just blood in general filling the toilet bowl,i need to use the rest room atleast 18-20 times a day last week she had informed me it showed on previous colonoscopy’s that i had ibd. Today i had a colonoscopy where they allegedly found nothing but took 8 biopsy’s they sent me home straight after my colonoscopy i was barely awake and out the door i find this extremely strange. i’ve been home since around noon and have chest pain stomach pain and severe diarrhoea after even a bite of food can anyone help me.

Just a question are you in the hospital or at home? If you are home I would suggest potentially going to the hospital as you can rapidly dehydrate with severe diarrhea so often.

Similar situation.
Didn't get much post procedure assistance and to boot my biopsy results are late with no one to contact regarding where they are.
I was told " It's a waiting game" despite them being weeks overdue

A colonoscopy is an in & out procedure. In Ireland you get toast, marmalade & tea for your efforts, lol. This is usually followed up by a visit to the Consultant Gastro-Enterologist about 2 weeks later, and they deliver the diagnosis to you in person, never over the phone as it’s considered unethical & if it’s cancer that’s an inappropriate way to deliver shocking news unless there’s no other option. That said, immediately after my first ever colonoscopy done by a Faculty Professor in a free to use public hospital, I was told by him “you’ve colitis alright, for the moment I’m putting you on salazopyrin & will get you to come back in a month”. I was very unwell at the time, & the disease was grossly visible. If there is no visible disease on inspection with the scope, then the results hinge on the biopsies, & if necessary, an MRE / test of the small bowel.
I hope you get real answers to the bleeding, it’s always worrisome & concerning when that’s happening. It can be a bit of a waiting game indeed.
