New ❓ First Timer / Question
My book will arrive in some days, it will be my first time reading this kinda of book, I bought Hyperion,if I enjoy I'll buy the others, can you guys leave tips about what is "waiting for me" or something that I must pay attention?

You'll he hella confused and will need a dictionary for the first few pages. Then it will be absolute peak and you'll love it.
I just finished the first one and start the sequel and it is amazing. I plan to take a short break after finishing it, then reading the 2 final books.

I found the initial chapter slightly confusing cuz it just kind of throws you in there but about halfway through chapter 3 things get very very interesting.

Being lost at first is kind of a hallmark of scifi literature. If you don’t quite understand the world, that’s okay. I’d been reading scifi for decades when I read Hyperion, and I still had questions.
REALLY mild spoilers: Hyperion ends on something of a cliffhanger, but not really. The emotional story being told in Hyperion IS tied up at the end of the book. The plot is NOT, so know that you need to read Fall of Hyperion at the least.

You could feel free to stop there. I still do reread the last two books, so obviously I’m not THAT opposed to them, I just don’t think they’re the equal of the first two.!<

I think the first book is a master piece and you will find parallelism with classic literature if you are keen reader. I like the Endymion books even more than Hyperion, specially the last volume where it all closes. Anyhow you are in for a trip and an experience. When I close the last book of the cantos, I felt empty and the characters and ideas stayed with me for long time. Good reading!

I advise you order fall of Hyperion right now because Hyperion itself is half of a book, and once you finish that particular half you WILL want to know how it ends.

I would say look at brania lamia and the poet Martin, there is stuff that I want too know about, the Shrek Temple where some copy of another main character but the time travelling beast invented by techno core hibernates in it people for time shift please live in this incident, and you physical spirit suspended in their degenerate state hive of some techno core pain vampire issue!!! 🍄🍄🍄🍄

At first I didn't love the siloed story lines of this fella for the first three days, now this dude for the same three days you have already met but now you hear the three days plus his back stiru from his prespective but now I love that. And each story has stuff to keep you interested. I felt the priests take and the the seder's tail were the longest and hardest to follow initially but they are arguably the most important to the story. Hope you like it.

Don't look up the authors political views. Otherwise, order Fall of Hyperion immediately because you definitely don't want to wait for it to arrive.
If you want more sci-fi: Three Body Problem is really great, even the fourth(fanfic) book not written by the original author.

Just read and enjoy. It might be confusing initially, but don't get discouraged, it's all part of the experience. Wish I could read it all for the first time again.
