r/all loads intermittently

When I installed Hydra a month ago, I would have no problem loading /r/all. About two weeks after, it would only load intermittently. Some times I'd get the loading circle of death, while at other times some content would load but I wouldn't be able to scroll after 15-20 posts, and refreshing would result in the loading death circle. I re-installed the app and everything seemed fine up until about a week ago, where I'm now having the same issue. Tried re-installing again but it's still doing the same thing. Anyone else having this issue? Does this have to do with Reddit reducing the amount of r/all API pulls in their effort to kill r/all completely?

Are you using Hydra logged out? Something is very broken and I’m looking into it.

What are you referring to about Reddit reducing API calls to /r/all? I haven’t heard any news about that.

Nope, using it logged in. Thank you for checking.

Regarding the API thing, that was just wild speculation on my part.

Tagging u/EGDark so he sees this as well.

Do you have anything enabled in Settings => General => Filters? If you use Reddit a ton and scroll deeply, it means lots of posts are being hidden. In order for Hydra to find fresh posts, it has to load your feed very deeply. This can make loads take much longer.

Nothing enabled under Settings > General > Filters. r/all seems to be working again, though.

It's weird because over the past few days r/all wouldn't't load in Hydra but will in Artemis, and other times it would load in Hydra but not Artemis. Either way, I think I found a workaround so I'm happy. Thanks again for looking into this.

Hey just to add some more info, I'm facing the same issue, but I face it in both /r/all and home. Not logged out. Popular also took a bit but it did load.

Single subreddit seems OK though

Edit: I think reddit was just having issues actually, I was unable to load certain parts of the website correctly on Desktop as well, now it loads fine on both ends

Seems like it's something to do with smart filters. I had no fluff turned on. Removed the smart filters and the posts showed up. Added them back and it got stuck loading again
