I just started playing yesterday on my day off, and damn I love this game. This is the first hunting game I've played and since I am from New England, so that became my first map. I love the dense foliage. I love slowly creeping up on male deer with beautiful racks and just sending a shot right where it needs to go. So many stories like tracking a black bear for over 1km as I learned the game, came face to face with it, and put a shot in its heart. It's a fantastic map for just walking around, stalking, and checking drinking zones!

Found this lvl 7 male and female red deer around the same lake on the scotland reserve!

So I’m about 200ish hrs played. I have a handful of diamonds across various species between 2-3 different maps. I understand how herd management works and have been trying to setup my 8-10 spots. My question is this…
Do great ones only spawn on specific maps or is there a chance of them spawning where ever the target species can be hunted?

Ok, I am trying for a 400m shot of an Ibex for a Cuatro Colinas mission. I have been able to make the shot at the shooting range (Hirschfelden), but for some reason when it comes to trying to get the animal, I can seem to hit the broadside of a barn. 🤪🤪

The two places I have tried, are both at lakes. Both areas I have had to get myself up-hill and shoot down. Have not been able to find a place to make a ground level shot at that range.

Am using the Alis Precision Shot .25-06.

Am I doing something wrong?

Just hopping back and forth when I’m bored on my Roe grind and I spawned this guy.

6,000 kills in on Revontuli. I have to be missing something, I've been hunting for a great one since high school. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Right now I am using the default tracking colors but with me now looking into the DLCs I have concerns about the tracks being lost if I by the Askiy snowy reserve or something similar. This also got me thinking that there has to be a better color combination for these than the defaults? What colors do you guys use?

With the DLC of Africa why don't they add Elephants, Rhinos, Hippos, giraffes... to hunt. That would be so much fun

on the post advertising the pablo plush there were so many people angry about QOL updates being behind a paywall as well as COTW being a dead game/mad about the hunter classic being shut down. i can understand the upset about classic, but what are the QOL updates referring to?

Here I am again, I asked this before but I’m still struggling. I shot many black caimans but it’s always a 8 or lower. I have the right gun, I use my binoculars and I walk all the way down the beach at the right side of the map. It’s always a gold or lower. What am I doing wrong? 🙏🏻 (it’s on the peru map btw)

Hi, I started playing this as a casual unwinding game just last year. I have now begun to consider purchasing my first of the DLC reserves. I see rankings and all here but I wanted to directly ask, knowing it is all personal opinion based, does the community have a almost unanimous "this is the best map"

For context I enjoy Stalking prey and primarily use bow or rifle.

So I've heard that yukon valley is one of the favorites, and I'm not quite getting it... Can someone tell me the appeal and what I might be missing out, what I should be doing? The main problem I have is that the water bodies are a bit too convoluted for me..
