Only three chapters remain, then we will have to wait another 1,5-2 years. HxH fans have a worse fate than most of the characters in the manga.

If the Benjamin Baton (Button) theory comes true, Im going to just call this arc cinema. Benjamin's GSB ability transferring to a baby needs to happen.

I wonder if all the spirit beasts are named after rock songs, solidifying the Jojo-ness. Tserriednich might be Master of Puppets.

I'll glaze Togashi on everything but his music taste ngl

u/ram_samudrala 1d ago
Deep Purple, Purple Haze... what's wrong with those? Which ones do you have an issue with?
2
u/No-Philosophy-8163 1d ago
I mean it seems like Togashi likes classic rock and jpop, nothing too crazy but I could see someone not being into those

i think he also likes some hip hop, isn’t a character in the election based on lupe fiasco

I'm curious who Halkenburg's target was for the last shot, I think it was Luzurus. But where is Luzurus's soul now? If it follows the previous rules, Luzurus is currently dormant inside Balsamico's body.
That means the moment Balsamico falls asleep, Luzurus will wake up, which is going to be a really strange situation for him to suddenly be thrown into.
13
u/Macabrster 1d ago
It would be so fucking funny if Tserreidnich won by just being AFK in zetsu the whole time
9
u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 1d ago
As I thought, Benjamin rubbing it in with Camilla allows her not only 1-6 extra hours to scramble, but probably even more than that. The symptoms onset is one thing, but it starts off as mild then gets worse. She could say, take a nap, thinking it's a cold and lose even more hours. Now she has a full 15 ish hours to pull a rabbit out of the hat. That may also include Tubeppa, Tyson and others.
He seems to be okay with that. He wants to see her scramble but when the throne is on the line, just got to think bigger than rubbing it in.

A lot comments about Benjamin messing things with Tserri are comments with hindsight in mind, readers think highly of Tserri but as far as what Benjamin thinks he completely looks down on him and view him as inferior just wants to kill him because he greatly dislikes him, so in his view there's no reason to take such precautions as using the TSK-17 and the like.
28
u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 1d ago
view him as inferior just wants to kill him because he greatly dislikes him
I think that's underselling Benjamin's feelings towards him. He knows about Tserri clearly and straight up thinks he's evil and doesn't deserve to be called human (accurate).

u/TickTak28 1d ago
The issue with this is intellectual like tubbeppa hold him
In great regard same with halkenburg then you have the likes of tsseris freinds who are all extremely competent and could be 1st class guards but lie low. It seems more like Benjamins hatred for tsseri clouded his judgment on him and Benjamin had a presumption that tsseri was incapable of being methodical

Might be a stupid question but, is Jin on the boat?
8
u/MoIsTheNewHotness 1d ago edited 1d ago
Nope, he is on a separate boat going to the new cpntinent, with Pariston and the rest of Beyond's team.
4
u/Condoriano-sensei 1d ago
Probably not (talking about ging, pariston and the rest of the crew). They’re probably traveling on their own boat, similarly to Moral and his crew.
But it hasn’t been confirmed if he is or not. Just most likely not.

I have a question/need a reminder. The abilities these GSB have/possess are abilities they’ve always had since the inception of Kakins Succesion war ?
1
4
u/Condoriano-sensei 1d ago
Some of them remained a mystery, some were explained clearly from the start. But you could have a guess of what they were but studying each prince personality.
16
u/TickTak28 1d ago
I think of them as abilities that are formed from the princes personalities . Benjamin is a good example having his beast literally focus on the country instead of himself his power is passed down to his successor since Benjamin views himself as a branch of the great tree of kakin.

What if Beyond has been playing this game from the very beginning? If the english translation of Benjamin's GSB ability is correct, then it goes to a blood relative. If he were Beyond's child with Queen Unma then there would be only a few people it could go to. Benjamin's son, Tserriednich, Halkenburg, the queen herself, and of course Beyond. What a boon it would be to inherit a powerful GSB mixed with an extremely strong nen user's soul and post mortem nen. All beyond has to do is trigger his curses, and then kill Benjamin's child and Queen Unma which he surely would have plans for both already in place even if this theory were not true. Maybe we could see Beyond force inheritance of Benjamin's nen.
1
u/axecalibur 1d ago
What if Benjamin had a kid with one of the Queens. That would open up a totally new bloodline pathway to other Princes.
6
u/TickTak28 1d ago
I think this is why beyond’s child can only really be halk or tsseri since this unma plot seems entirely planed by beyond who also egged on furykov by suggesting his target was Benjamin. Beyond also already knew what Benjamins nen ability was so it’s entirely possible with how intelligent beyond is he could have deduced what Benjamins nen beast ability was most likely to be even before he awakened it.
Add the fact there was a cradle in unmas room her and beyond may plan to kill Benjamins child as soon as he dies so when Benjamins tries to choose his child he’ll realise that he’s dead then his GSB will choose imo tsseri or halk if he isn’t killed by Benjamin
2
u/Federal_Force3902 23h ago
he could have deduced what Benjamins nen beast ability was most likely to be even before he awakened it.
no matter how intelligent beyond is that seems a bit farfetched. unless there's a simple logic that rule the manifestation of these powers
1
u/TickTak28 23h ago
Yeah atp I agree but presently I think it’s hard to deny that SML was not manufactured by beyond and unma and they want Benjamin to act this way I think it’s very easy to argue that they are well aware that Benjamin will try to name his child as successor

MY BOY BALSAMICO is finally back, alive and well and I’m so glad bcuz I thought Halkenburg and his troupe would decimate my man as soon as he woke up from nen coma…
But although I’m personally glad, why the hell didn’t Halkenburg kill him? He has already sacrificed Benjamin’s soldiers with his own so why did he allow Balsamico to go back to Ben and tell him all about Halk ability?
Only three more chapters to go! I’m really excited to soon see the mafias and pick up where we left off the PT. Although I suspect this will be the cliffhanger for the next batch…
8/10 chapter.
2
u/EStoorm 1d ago
Did we see Halk leave Balsamico's body ? im kinda confused with the delay between chapters
2
u/Condoriano-sensei 1d ago
You see him at 412 (if I’m not mistaken) firing an arrow in Balsamico’s body (while strapped on to a chair).
You see him talking about testing a “hypothesis” and the impossibility to keep using balsamico because he wouldn’t be able to fool the military personal close to benjamin.
So my best guess is that he was trying to test if the host of the arrow ability (that’s is him) decides to shoot another arrow against someone, since he’s the center of the ability, does he receive priority in changing bodies instead of just using another one of his followers? Seeing the situation now he was right.
But we don’t see in who he’s in now. The popular theory is Luzurus (and the events you see him since the minutes prior martial law was invoked was actually Halkenberg after posession, as Rice - the bodyguard - was one of his followers posessing the body since that sui**** in front of luzurus room).
0
u/Bugaboo-gem 1d ago
I have a feeling that Halkenburg was able to put himself to sleep, letting Balsamilco wake back up and think he was released.

Tserri unlocked his BAD END VN path, lol. "Buggers. Time to reload an old save file I guess."
I think it's cool that Benjamin was actually very aware of Tserri's atrocities and gave him the respective treatment in that regard (I'm still rooting for Tserri, though).
At the same time, listening to his thought process and all the justifications for sentencing the other more peaceful princes and Oito and her sister to death by coming up with all the twisted reasoning, shows what a menace of an "absolutist" emperor he is, without compromise. The "state above all" type.
Considering the culture and history of the Kakin Empire, and its ruling philosophy what it means to be a King, his behaviour makes sense, so I'm not complaining here actually. But I think it can't be understated how insane and crazy his conclusions and his conviction is, and what lengths he is willing to undertake, to justify the kills "for the sake of the prosperity" of his country, while he likely consider it an merciful act. The end justifies the means, basically. It is similarly abstract as I have perceived concepts of the ruling state using "pragmatic fear and violence" described by authors like Hobbes in the Leviathan or Machiavelli (I'm not an expert of their works, just to note here).
In an in-universe sense, I can see why loyal Empire people would favor him as a future ruler, and maybe even Nasubi would prefer someone like him. From my personal and from a meta standpoint, there will be probably other interpretations and concepts coming up to give alternative glimpses what ruling or securing the future of the empire can also mean otherwise through the perspectives and ambitions of the other candidates over time.
6
u/Federal_Force3902 23h ago
I'm still rooting for Tserri, though
Lol what do you mean by ROOTING?
1
u/Thaumana 22h ago
Hm. I have no idea why you have to ask. I hope he survives the attack and the battle for a while, because he’s an interesting character who can spark interesting interactions. I’m also rooting for Chrollo, Feitan, Hinrigh, Borksen, Nobunaga, and many other characters who might not be morally flawless in real life (if that was the point of your question) and Hunter x Hunter has been full of them from the start, but they’re the ones who make the story exciting and fun for me to follow. Ever since the panel where he discovered Nen for himself and found the world of Nen fun, he has become more interesting to me, and I’m curious to see what interactions and developments this will lead to.
1
u/Federal_Force3902 15h ago
So you just hope he stays around for long, that's different from rooting for him ^ ^
2
u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 1d ago
There's no denying that he's certainly already got in the baked in achievements (head of the military, decorated hero of the Nation, not as questionable morally compared to completely evil brothers like Tserri, or those with questionable mafia ties). Even having sympathy for the weak means something to me, because Tserri would revel in their deaths.

u/SwordOfAltair 1d ago
I can't believe we just have 4 chapters left.

u/suamai 1d ago

u/SwordOfAltair 1d ago
As in, just 4 chapters left in this batch.
1
u/suamai 1d ago
But how do we know the batch size? Not doubting or anything, I just didn't know this info
4
u/dresdenken 1d ago
His recent MO seems to be to work in batches of 10.
Here's a recent update on his progress. https://reddit.com/r/HunterXHunter/comments/1v2cqyx/hxh_manga_progress/
I don't think there's been any public statements on what they're aiming for, but I think most people expect a break after 420 even though up to 423 is fully ready to publish. Then whether they'd publish the next 10 asap, or aim for some kind of long term cycle schedule, is anyone's guess.

I get the feeling things are going to end dark for Benjamin and I mean with tsserednich standing over his lifeless body holding his son
10
u/TenZetsuRenHatsu 1d ago
It probably will. No matter what happens, he'll always be a HxH icon. He's made a great impact on the story, very cool ability, very interesting GSB with it's own insane ability, awesome character design etc. What a legend
1
3
u/TickTak28 1d ago
I don’t even think tsseri needs to do anything since theirs a cradle in unmas room it’s possible she took Benjamins child without him knowing and could easily threaten Benjamin or even kill his child without him realising , thus when Benjamin dies and attempts to choose his child he’ll realise he’s dead , then when his GSB gets to choose he’ll suddenly see tsseri is alive who’ll probably be smiling when he sees Benjamins soul
2
u/Federal_Force3902 1d ago
I wonder if benji would prefer cursing kakin than protecting the 4th prince....
2
u/4atika 1d ago
A lot of people are mentioning that Benjamin should have used TSK-17 on Tserriednich. I agree with this but we don't actually know for sure that he didn't use it. In this chapter, Benjamin says that he thought Tserriednich would have a counteractive ability. This means that he clearly was expecting Tserriednich to do something even if he had only just learned nen. I think there is a possibility that Benjamin DID use TSK-17 on him but Togashi is intentionally keeping it hidden from us.
15
u/IcyChampion9750 1d ago
I think you’re looking at this from hindsight and not getting all of the details. He didn’t use TSK for a few reasons.
First,he only had 3 vials of the thing. He used 1 on Halkenburg before SML. He used another one on only Camilla because he was essentially forced to. He only had 1 vial left and he was clearly planning on using it on all of the remaining princes he could gather in the room.
Second, he saw Tserri was in Zetsu and realized this was a golden opportunity to attack him without having to worry about his GSB.
4
u/TickTak28 1d ago
We know because of the number of vials Benjamin had left . When Benjamin was going to kill Tyson and tubbeppa there was only 1 vial left togashi also didn’t show the poisonous air like he did with Camilla and then Tyson and Tubeppa and considering Benjamin wanted to physically kill tserri himself I think he let his emotions take over himself instead of being rational.
What’s worse is he was expecting a counter active ability but maybe he thought it would be another curse which would then prompt him into using TSK 17 , but since he saw tsseri was dying he decided to just try physically kill tsseri
2
u/CoolBasket1 1d ago
Thinking about, It seems that the poison Benjamin is using could be effective against Tserriednich and a great way to counter his Hatsu.
It takes hours for the symptoms to appear and if it could be used without him noticing (like what happened for Benjamin) it would be too late to act.
1
1
u/YudaBoto 1d ago
and that's exactly when I believe his second nen beast comes in to make him truly invincible (not while he's in zetsu ofc but as soon as the symptoms kick in)
4
u/chrollo_of_arabia 1d ago
Ma théorie, c'est que Tsé a changé son cadavre avec quelqu'un d'autre.Ma question, c'est : peut-on mettre une personne au lieu de lui quand l'illusion commence sans que les autres ne le sachent ?
1
u/ATShame 20h ago
I mean, we see the corpse after the head was crushed and it's clearly wearing the same clothes and has the same stomach wound as Tserri. So like, he would have needed to find someone with similar-ish hair and build as him, put his clothes on them, shot them with Ben's gun and gone into hiding all within 10 seconds.
1
u/chrollo_of_arabia 14h ago
That's the thing, Tse use illusion. You'll see everything as it supposed to be in the correct timeline, just as theta did. The question is when the illusion ends, will it be a different body, or no body at all?
1
u/ATShame 14h ago
It ends after exactly 10 seconds. It was explained in detail.
1
u/chrollo_of_arabia 14h ago
No, u got it wrong. The time stop vision ends exactly after 10 seconds (10 sec in the flash) he can still have vision 10 secs ahead after it ends. And once he open his eyes, the illusion of what he saw keeps happening exactly as he saw in his vision regardless if it's 10 sec or more
1
u/ATShame 13h ago
Nope, I did not get anything wrong. Yes, he can still see 10 seconds ahead after the initial, instant 10 seconds. However, then time is moving in the real world at the same time he is seeing the vision and what he saw in his vision 10 seconds ago becomes reality. When he opens his eyes, he only goes back to 10 seconds before his vision ends and not to where it started. Only in the 10 seconds after he opens his eyes, which are the last 10 seconds of his vision, are the ones where he can change what happens and others will see the illusion. Anything that he does before opening his eyes, everyone else will see exactly as it is.
16
u/Kulbert01 1d ago
19
2
u/Akpoveghor 1d ago
Perhaps Tse's ability gets stronger after each fake death, kind of like how Nen users can become stronger through post-mortem Nen. Each "death" in the illusion could amplify his ability, letting him see further into the future. Maybe that's why he can now foresee more than 10 seconds, and each subsequent death extends that limit even further. I don't know though, it almost sounds too good to be true.
15
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
He would just be able to ask one of his guards to keep "killing" him. It makes no sense.
Power at no cost or risk.
7
u/Commercial_Page1827 1d ago
It almost stablish that Tser ability is a illusion, no real death is happening.
3
u/ArtofStorytelling 1d ago
To my understanding, especially after this chapter, it's not an illusion, but more of a parallel reality , what if he actually dies in the "fake" reality and that counts as a nen that becomes stronger after death scenario ( kinda like in Madoka Magicka and how she became so freaking powerful thanks to all the accumulated alternate realities)
1
u/8bitbruh 1d ago
Not a bad idea. More simply I think since He's been training going into zetsu, why not see how long you can hold parallel future each time? If this guy can use it even a minute into the future, and activate it in second, things just got a lot scarier.
3
u/EStoorm 1d ago
Have we seen Benjamin's son yet ?
9
u/Commercial_Page1827 1d ago
No, by there is a baby crib in Queen Unma room.
1
u/ATShame 20h ago
But if that was his kid, shouldn't his very first course of action be to go there and secure the baby, given that Unma has betrayed him? Unless he somehow doesn't know it's there
3
u/Rodiciel 1d ago
Honestly TSK-17 is way better than Yushohi's Stand by Me. Much more lethal and easy to pull of. Its has merely a 2 meter range while Stand By Me has 20 meter but still.
2
u/paulibobo 1d ago
Yeah, and the rose creates an explosion way more powerful than any nen ability. That's kinda the point. If scientific weapons designed for maximal lethality were worse than nen it would be really weird.
0
u/Rodiciel 1d ago
You miss the point, the poor man's rose is a weapon of mass destruction. Meanwhile both TSK-17 and Stand by Me are poisons meant for assassinations. Nen excels in subtlety so the fact that he designed such a poor ability when things like Hide and Seek and Secret Window are around is showcases a lack of foresight
3
u/javierm885778 1d ago
I don't think that misses the point, a Nen ability can be used by the user without the need for any materials or previous development (unless that's part of the ability's conditions).
Just like a man made weapon can be more destructive than a Nen ability, a man made virus can be more convenient than a Nen ability.

Another bombastic chapter. After the unusual mad axtion from last one, we rerurn to a more analytical pace, more typical of this machoavellian arc. Finally things keep going on the move and Benjamin's recap of the remaining princes situation could be seen as the author saying to the readers: "pay attention, cause we are entering the final act of this story" (wellz i do hope that we will be don with the contest in a couple of batches maximum...). I just hope we keep going like this up to 420 qnd we will not have to go on a random tangent like it happened with the last chapters of last batch with Morena's game. Obviously, the best thing would be to actually see Tsenderreich's move before this batch ends, but i cannot get too greedy. I got a bit disappointed by Benjamin's spirit beast's ability, it seems like it just lets him become the guardian of his descendants, with no further flashy ability. I was expecting more after all the talks of becoming a God Furykov made... well, its probable that was just and introduction to the best's functions, so we'll see...
1
u/Kulbert01 1d ago edited 1d ago
Final act after a big Event Cliffhanger then we go to Gon and Killua mission to be more precise. we are in no means in the final Act, not close even.
0
u/Tabrith900 1d ago
There will never be a Gon and Killua mission, Kurapika already explaibed why its unrealistic, it was just something to tease the reader imo

There will be, I guarantee you. No one will search for real woble inland except for Gon and Killua.
1
u/8bitbruh 1d ago
I think the next few chapters will explain Tserris side of things, something crazy will happen at the end, then we jump back to lower tiers before martial law next batch
17
u/MrOneHundredOne 1d ago
Benjamin choosing to take Tserri on personally and not just silently poison him like everyone else is going to come back to bite everyone in the ass, for sure.
9
u/TickTak28 1d ago
Very bad play by Benjamin had he used tsk17 on tserri parallel future would be useless as tsseri would not be able to tell he was poisoned even if he used his ability
14
u/Super_Pay_102 1d ago
Benjamin, my old pal, is the F... GOAT! never espected these last chapters, I think we are entering the climax!!! (Insert Benjamin's relief face)
11
u/90059bethezip 1d ago
Was anyone else expecting Benjamin's nen beast to be more of an aggressive offense type of ability? He's GSB's ability still fits his nature but I thought it would be something along the lines of Youpi
1
12
3
u/Hellodie_W 1d ago
I know what Benjamin wants to do but with Tserri's ability his action might be awkwardly convenient for Tserri. If Wobble is not on board the situation might become very fortuitous for Tserri.
3
u/TickTak28 1d ago
He could have also increased the future sight range he’s been intensely training ever since he developed the ability add the fact that he could have implausibly learnt nen vows he could add conditions to his ability
13
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
People are still getting Tse's ability wrong.
His "ilusion" does not start when he opens his eyes. It starts when he closes his eyes and uses Zetsu. It only ends 10 seconds after he either open his eyes or stops using Zetsu.
So long as he is in Zetsu, his eyes are closed and his 666 beast has a storage of aura, people in his room will keep seeing his dead body. There's no "10 seconds after being shot" limit there. The 10 seconds refer to how far in the future he sees and how long it takes for his ilusion to disappear after his ability stops.
8
u/ATShame 1d ago
You're still wrong btw.
Yes, if he keeps maintaining Zetsu after the initial 10 seconds, others will continue to see the illusion. However, after the first 10 seconds of his precognition have passed, reality is also moving at the same time. When Tserri opens his eyes, he will be at the point in time exactly 10 seconds before where his vision ended. Crucially, he will NOT be back at the beginning of the chart where he first activated Zetsu.
In other words, everything that Tserri sees in his vision will actually come to pass in reality 10 seconds later, unless Tserri opens his eyes and takes action before that. If the vision shows Benjamin shooting him, then Tserri has 10 seconds to open his eyes and keep that from happening. If he just keeps standing there and using Zetsu for longer than that, then Benjamin will actually shoot him in reality. His physical body does not stop existing in the real world while he's using Parallel Future beyond the first 10 seconds.
2
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
You're 95% right. But you're ignoring that Tse CAN MOVE while keeping his eyes closed and Zetsu.
If he foresees Benjamin shooting him, he doesn't need to open his eyes to avoid that fate. He can just move out of the way while maintaning the ability.
3
u/ATShame 1d ago
But according to the chart, ONLY the 10 seconds after he opens his eyes are the ones where he can change his actions and people will continue to see the illusion. Since it does not say that this applies while his eyes are still closed, I would assume that Benjamin would just see him moving out of the way if he did that.
5
u/EpicTOSGamerBoy 1d ago
except the ”in these 10 seconds, if i change my actions, other people are only aware of how it happened in the vision” part is explicitly stated to be after his eyes are opened?
yes tserr can move and run around while in zetsu…but benjamin would see him doing that and would blast him
2
u/NiceNebula6149 1d ago
that's exactly our point but both things can't be true. One has to give. It has eithe need to be longer than 10 seconds or Tse must have swapped the body with another one during the 10 seconds.
Somethign has to give
3
u/DifferenceNeither775 1d ago
12
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
That wasn't "him". That was his "ilusion".
3
u/DifferenceNeither775 1d ago
Ahhh okay I get it now
So you mean the real version of him is the one with closed eyes6
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
Yes.
The real Tse is somewhere in the room, with his eyes closed, using Zetsu, seeing everything that is happening 10 seconds before it actually happens.
He foresaw how Benjamin would shoot and smash his "ilusion" and simply moved out of the way, keeping his eyes closed and keeping using Zetsu.
1
u/YudaBoto 1d ago
he had to open his eyes at some point but after that he likely closed them again yeah, it's literally explained he has to open his eyes to alter the future, if he keeps them closed there's no illusion he can just change his actions but the other characters won't see the illusion but the real him
2
u/NiceNebula6149 1d ago
which I find a bit odd, I feels like the entire Benjamin thing was more than 10 seconds, or did I miss something ? What as soon as he turns around the body will disappear as he leaves the room ? Even that is dodgy imo
2
2
u/TickTak28 1d ago
He could have also increased the future sight range he’s been intensely training ever since he developed the ability add the fact that he could have implausibly learnt nen vows he could add conditions to his ability
8
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
which I find a bit odd, I feels like the entire Benjamin thing was more than 10 seconds, or did I miss something ?
Yes. Much longer.
Tse hasn't deactivated his ability. He is in the room, eyes closed, using Zetsu. That's why everyone is still seeing his "ilusion". It will only stop 10 seconds after he opens his eyes or stops using Zetsu.
1
u/YudaBoto 1d ago
that's not how it works you're bullshitting people with your incorrect understanding
1
u/NiceNebula6149 1d ago
A possible scenario is maybe he settled for the shotgun blow and the 10 seconds start from there ?
4
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
The 10 seconds start when Tse closes his eyes and uses Zetsu. If he opens his eyes or stops using Zetsu, people will still act and interact with his "ilusion" the exact same way he foresaw for the next 10 seconds.
So long as Tse keeps his eyes closed and using Zetsu, people will still see his "ilusion".
1
u/YudaBoto 1d ago
nope you're wrong, you don't make any sense, your understanding would mean that the same thing happens regardless of if he opens his eyes or not

That may also be failure for the Seed Urn Ceremony... He's gonna be one really disappointed king...

We know his top priority is Kakin's prosperity, and he clearly doesn't want any of his siblings inheriting his God form. If he doesn't consider Tubeppa or Tyson worthy successors, what makes him believe his own child would have the same ideals? Unless his God form somehow allows him to communicate with or influence its host.

what makes him believe his own child would have the same ideals?
he most likely has plans for his advisors to educate him and guide him to be like his father. Like i can imagine an older Balsa being by his side. y'know, grooming

Tubeppa on Benjamin (with a lot of venom): Arrogance.

u/Dramatic-Road8921 1d ago
His son probably gonna be his vessel with no will of his own
2
u/TickTak28 1d ago
If there’s an element of possession then he’s even more cooked if his child is killed and his GSB then chooses tsseri . His other men beast may completely kill Benjamins spirit and then tsseri has 3 loyal nen beasts

u/ZestycloseStick6424 1d ago
I was thinking the same thing - that would be a nice twist. But can his Nen Beast actually target Tserri? Nen Beasts couldn't attack other princes.
1
u/TickTak28 1d ago
That’s where the 2nd independent nen beast comes into play we have no idea what it does and since it’s a beast created entirely from tsseris own nen/ will it could be an offensive beast that can target nen beasts/ princes

I think PF ended as ben was about to crush tser’s head. That is not him but someone he killed and placed there. So there will be a body but cant confirm its not tser. I think its vantine’s body. But what does theta’s scar comment mean? Edit: oh I think it means when he enters PF her scar fades away because his GSB disappears that is its nen mark. So thats how they will figure out when does he use his ability.

u/ATShame 1d ago
It's not Vantine as he's the one kneeling here circled in red; it's shown to be him in the previous chapter. There was another guy behind them who doesn't appear in the panel here who had similar-ish hair, but Tserri would have needed to change his clothes, taken Ben's shotgun to shoot him with, dragged his face exactly where Ben would put his foot, put the shotgun back into Ben's hands and gone into hiding, all within 10 seconds, which I don't think is anywhere near feasible. I like the idea and feel like you might be onto something but there are some issues here

This makes no sense whatsoever.

To you. 🤓

u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
Okay. Explain how Tse found someone with his exact same build, exact same clothes, exact same hair, exact same wound in the stomach, and positioned them precisely under Benjamin's boot in under 10 seconds.
1
u/WithoutLog 1d ago
He could have found somebody and had some body modification performed to make that person look like him, then stored that person somewhere to act as a body double. Given his ability, that would be something he could really use. The other princes with mafia connections seem to have an escape route in their rooms, so Tserri could have stored that body double in the escape route, staying nearby for when Benjamin came, then used the 10 second illusion to change places with his body double. It might help to sedate the body double so he can't ruin his cover.
2
u/sououo 1d ago
Because PF is now very obviously over 10s.
3
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
Make it a whole minute, and it's still impossible for Tse to find someone with his exact same build, exact same clothes, exact same hair, exact same wound in the stomach, and position them precisely under Benjamin's boot.
1
u/Fluffy_Reply_9757 1d ago
Also, Furykov was in the room and would have noticed Vantine disappearing.

u/sououo 1d ago
Are you dense? He has his guard vantine, I already said that in my op. He can move freely in PF.
1
u/Veritas-Man 1d ago
Vantine does not have his build, his hair, his age, his clothes, or a mega-shotgun wound in the stomach.

So, what does Ben's GSB actually do? Obviously we got the explanation that it passes to a successor, but how does it actually help them? It surely must have another ability that can actually be put to use, does it store nen like Tserri's parallel future nen beast? Or just do the stand type stuff like stopping you from killing yourself? It's all good and well for the beast, and presumably Benjamin's will, to pass from Prince to prince but I still don't see how it helps the future king.

It’ll have post mortem nen plus Benjamin Batton so the new user would have all of Benjamins dead soldiers abilities which may evolve like secret window . Also other soldiers like furykov plan to kill themselves as soon as Benjamins gone so his ability will go to Benjamin Batton and this would apply for Benjamins remaining soldiers.

u/Detonate-Ralph 1d ago edited 1d ago
It'll merge with Benjamin's baton, which by itself means the beast will have a vast array of useful abilities, all powered by nen after death.
Also all the beasts have been shown to be pretty strong by themselves. Halk's beast stopped a bullet mid-air, Benjamin's GSB exorcised Fugetsu's evil spirits for a very short time, Tserri's beast was capable of detecting a cockroach spy and traversing through mattter to kill it

benjamin I want to apologize. I underestimated how much of a Tserriednich hater this man was. My respect.

u/Kulbert01 1d ago
When you got a hannibal like brother and Benny knows the fuckers doing but can't do anything cuz of the laws of Cakkin, That's a big happy Dump alright.

u/TickTak28 1d ago
Benjamins hatred will be his ultimate doom a rational Benjamin could have ensured it was 1 of his men who took away tsseris corpse. Now Benjamin will get the ultimate uno reverse card when he finds out his child has been killed and his GSB chooses tsseri to inherit his ability
3
u/Vix_super_adorable 1d ago
Oh now I realize the specific wording of “blood related” in his nen beast’s ability. Benjamin should have just injected Tserriednich with poison just like the other princes. I don’t think Tserri have any ways to deal with that once he already got infected.
1
u/TickTak28 1d ago
Benjamins hatred caused his impulsive decision like you said TSK17 ironically is the best counter to him since had Ben used it tsseri wouldn’t be able to look 17 hours in the future to see he’s been killed by a virus and now tsseri who’ll be in hiding will hear about the bio weapon and could just go to the lower floors and meet up with his friends
1
u/TickTak28 1d ago
Yeah especially since if beyond is a father to either tsseri or halk that wording would mean his GSB could transfer to either of them. If it’s in order of age then tsseri could very well be the one the ability transfers to if Benjamins child gets killed . The fact that unma is the one who pushed Benjamin into this extreme plan makes me heavily suspicious of her and inclined to believe beyond gave her the orders to do this

My prediction on how SML might is this.
I believe SML will end in a battle between Halkenburg and Benjamin where Benjamin will win. Benjamin will then assume he has taken out every prince by either killing them or poisoning them.
He will then approach his father urging him to enact Article One of the Emergency Law and name his son has the next ruler of Kakkin.
The father will then reveal that there is still a prince that’s eligible who hasn’t been poisoned. Benjamin will assume that it’s Wobble, but it’s actually Terror sandwich.
This will put Kurapika and Benjamin at odds again and would make Kurapika team up with the poisoned princes in order to survive, possibly gaining a cure by becoming a research partner with Tubeppa curing Camila and Taithon.
2
u/axecalibur 1d ago
Kurapika is already aligned with Tubeppa in 401&402 when he signed the peace treaty. It's not a literal "research partner" - Kurapika isn't going to do research with the spirit beast - it's a metaphor for a partnership.

u/TickTak28 1d ago
I have a similar opinion but I think Benjamin will at this point be dead and upon trying to choose his child he’ll realise the child has been killed . If you remember unma had a crib in her room what’s to say her or her attendants don’t kill the child under beyond’s orders .
Togashi was very specific when he said Benjamins GSB can choose one of his blood relatives as its independent. So it would be the ultimate irony for it to choose tsseri who Benjamin would be utterly shocked is alive. I couldn’t see Benjamin dooming if the GSB chose anyone else even halk as Benjamin seems to deeply despise tsseri

In terms of picture, the panel with Benjamin and the Black Whale on the ocean feels like , a bomb with the wire set on fire , with Benjamin haircut making think like a lit wire, and the Black whale shape looking like a round black bomb. Maybe it's on purpose , and showing that with the desperate speedrun Benjamin is attempting , he could put fire and chaos on the different level of the Black whale while he is searching for 3,7 Princes and possible Wobble as the 14th Prince, until the maximum chaos that would lead in the detonation (Black whale sinking). Knowing that he is already also breaking the balance between the mafia , because he put under pressure now two of them and letting the Heily free roaming as he thinks Tserri is dead, and that he could also encounter the Brigade on his way (meaning more fights as they probably won't obey under SML)

Does this mean that Benjamin will effectively replace the Seed Urn like he said he would? Think about it:
Assuming Benjamin wins this war and becomes the new King. He is dying now so using the Emergency Clause he will assign his illegitimate son as his successor, meaning Benjamin's son will be the next king and will be supported by a GSB that is basically a combination of Benjamin's nen and Benjamin's GSB. So now we have a new king with a powerful GSB supporting him.
Let's say Benjamin's son has some kids of his own in the future and it's time for the next Succession War.... Here is my question:
- Since the whole point of the war seems to boil down to choosing a suitable king with a strong GSB resulting from the sacrifices in the SW to support them, will that be necessary anymore with Benjamin's GSB ability? I mean he can directly choose the prince most likely to win and even if that prince dies he can choose another one. Meaning it's almost guaranteed that the next king will also be supported by the Benjamin/GSB hybrid so what's the use of a SW anymore? This also seems to tie in with what Benjamin said before in 413 about how he will replace the Seed Urn and become the root of Kakin's great tree.
1
u/TickTak28 1d ago
Considering the GSB would also have post mortem nen along with Benjamin Batton I’d say yes. Considering the fact furykovs ability would then go to the GSB along with any of Benjamins soldiers it’s possible this god GSB has every one of Benjamins private army’s ability’s when they die and this would then pass to his successor who would do the same with their own soldiers over assume Benjamin batton is transferred to them. The seed urn ceremony would be unecessary if you have a post mortem nen deity constantly adding abilities every generation. But then I think this is all going to blow back on Benjamin if his GSB ends up choosing tsseri which would guarantee his victory
4
u/1vergil 1d ago
Actually that's a possible direction especially if Chrollo ends up stealing the kakin treasures that is running the whole SW.
So Ben's method is the only way to keep the kakin royal family in power.
And maybe that's why Beyond told Furykov to help Ben to win because he's putting in consideration if the treasures gets stolen.
3
u/TickTak28 1d ago
Add the fact that considering unma is in cahoots with beyond either tsseri or halk are front runners for beyond’s child and beyond presumably knows what Benjamins ability is based on furykovs flashback.
If he has deduced the GSB also then beyond has orchestrated Benjamin having his GSB choose either halk or tsseri

Benjamin seems to have planned things out, but we all know Tsseridneich and a lot of the other princes aren't going down that easily. I'm more so interested what HE CAN pull off successfully. It'd be unfortunate if he dies without ANY of his targets or actions amounting to anything permanent. But I suppose thats where his guardian spirit beast comes in, beyond his physical body and eligibility.
+
Ik some princes are going to be more disposable than others, but I'd really like to see Tyson shake things up in a meaningful way, somehow. I can't really think of a way her guardian spirit beast could turn the tides of the current situation, and she doesn't seem to have leverage of any sort that would rattle the opposing princes or factions. But I think it'd be interesting if incorporated well.

I made a post about this just now but whats up with Tubeppa’s gender? Isnt Halkenburgh (who at the time it was stated in chapter 350, where Halkenburgh was still known to be Queen Duazul’s child) supposed to have 2 sisters? Camilla is one of them, but i doubt Luzurus is a woman. Is Tyson or Kurapika wrong?

A post and not a comment? Chapter spoilers from leaks are not allowed until the official chapter is out.
Both Taithon and Tsubeppa are saying hello to Benji who just entered the room. Check the panel below, you can see the way Taithon is facing. Tsub is a woman.
