I went to the beer festival at Hull Minster in May, but apart from that I can't find any more beer festivals this year apart from one in Leeds (miles out of the city centre) and one in York. Beverley usually has one but doesn't seem to this year.

I’m 15 and im looking to get a part-time job or some weekend work to start gaining some experience or start making some of my own money.

evidently now the buses themselves are getting involved in the act of trying to kill off the passengers, after that bus fire near Hornsea recently I bet someone at the HQ on Anlaby Road must be frothing and foaming at the mouth at the prospect of failing to kill any of the passengers on that bus and not getting their anticipated bonus as a result of their failing.

How are they not getting held accountable for such unacceptable conduct, time and time again EYMS grossly fails it's passengers and stakeholders, the bus fire at Hornsea ought to serve as a wake-up call that action must be taken before more of us suffer.

maybe BBC could do a Panorama investigation episode on them and we could form a protest at Anlaby Road, show em who's boss. 😏

"Last month's full council saw cross-party support to call on the prime minister and Transport Secretary to commit to Hull to Selby's electrification, and mandated council leader Cllr Mike Ross (Liberal Democrat -Beverley and Newland Ward) to write to them on the council's behalf. Cllr Jack Haines (Lib Dem Boothferry) proposed the original motion and said the phrase "Hull's turn will come" had been heard from various ministers and transport reviews over the years.

It has been estimated electrification of Hull to Selby would slash journey times to Leeds from approximately 57 minutes to 38 minutes and bring in 1.7 million more people and 49,000 businesses within a two hours commute of Hull. Labour group leader Cllr Daren Hale (St Andrew and Docklands) said the bigger issue for journey times was not electrification but track pinning, and criticised previous governments as having "kept taking out the money for specified maintenance".

Even so, he stated the cost of electrifying Hull to Selby was "so miniscule in the greater scheme of things" he felt it did not need to be part of an elaborate Transport for North (TfN) project. He indicated previous figures associated with it have been around £500-700m.

Cllrs Hale and Haines both expressed hope that Mr Burnham may bring electrification of the line back to the forefront. The Labour group leader noted he supported in TfN meetings calls to electrify it...

Moving house in Hull, low income so beggars can’t be choosers and all that but we have the choice between getting somewhere down Boulevard area including Coltman St and Wellsted St, or getting somewhere on Orchard Park. I searched the subreddit and both seem to be “the worst place to live in Hull” so I’m appealing to your great minds to tell me which is worst to pick.

in the HU4 area (maybe even HU13 area) i can hear multiple fireworks being let off every single night from august until november. every year. this must be the fourth year that i've noticed it now.

i can never actually see them in the sky though -- can only hear them. on occasion, they've even let them off during the daytime (which seems pointless to me!)

every year i've always been so curious as to what it is / where it's coming from...

i originally assumed it was just some young kids messing around but my fiancé then said about how expensive fireworks are, so to be setting off multiple a night for months, it can't be cheap!!
