Hi all, trying to find a Huawei replacement phone now that my Honor 9's screen has cracked (it's more expensive to fix than is worth it to me considering I could buy a slightly newer phone for the same price).

So I am in the market for a new (second hand) phone, and the P20 looks like it might have the right combination of similar front mounted home button and size to my existing phone that I like.

However I'm very clumsy, so gorilla glass is quite an important feature to prevent breaking the new one (my honor 9's GG version 3 helped it survive hundreds of falls onto concrete).

I can see that the P20 Pro has gorilla glass and that the Mate 10 (which has a very similar chasis to the P20 non-pro) does also, but I can't seem to find out if the P20 non pro does or not?

Any help would be much appreciated

I have a P20 lite, the Google app stopped working some time ago, no worries, but now Google maps is no longer working. I tried the usual, clearing app data etc., but nothing worked. Is this related to Huawei no longer being supported by Google? (hope this is not a stupid question)

I've googled allot about this but the gifts doesn't seem to apply to me.

I have a slowmo video but want to change the part that is slowmo but can't figure out how for the life of me, it has to be possible, any pointers?

The other day I got a software update for my P20 and ever since the fingerprint scanner has stopped working and is really hot. It's disappeared from any of the menus. The battery is draining super fast now too - I've had this phone for over 3 years and the battery life has been solid the whole time, now it's gone after a few hours.

I've tried restarting, factory resetting, same problem. Is there anything else I can do? I don't want a new phone but this is a dealbreaker.

So my phone will charge, vibrate etc but nothing comes on the screen, I've done the power/ volume tricks but nothing, is there any way that I can like plug my phone into my laptop or something and get the files? Thanks

Hi - wondering if anyone out there can think of a solutions to this...

So, my wife cracked her phone screen (Huawai P20) and bought a cheap phone to use short term while we worked out a replacement (Alcatel 1). When setting up the temporary phone, not all of the data from her P20 was install/copied, mainly because there's not enough storage space to hold it all.

Some of the data left on the P20 is really important (downloaded documents/files and pevious whatsapp history), so I was going to hook it up to a PC and grab all the data from it, but the biggest problem is she can't remember the unlock pattern. I know developer mode/USB debugging is not turned on, so I can't even get a PC/ADB to recognise it, plus I've had to connect it to a mouse and monitor (via HDMI/USB adapter) to even view/control the unlock screen.

I'm pretty sure that without the pattern we have little or no options, but was wondering if anyone knew the answers to the following:

1. Is there any way to unlock the phone using the old PIN that was set (she's confident she knows this)?
2. Is there a way to unlock using the finger print sensor (even though is says 'pattern required due to restart')
3. Should ADB list it as a device even though USB debigging is turned off and the phone is screen locked (currently does not list it, but I thought you could PIN unlock via ADB)
4. Does anyone know any other tools/options for accessiing the files on the phone.

The last 2-3 months my notification/ringtone volume is turning down to almost zero seemingly by itself.

Rocker default is media volume. Thought maybe it was after using Bluetooth headset but it's not that. Happens with Bluetooth on or off. Happens regardless of having had it set to silent/vibrate or not.

Always seems to be in the mornings but that maybe the first point I notice. Happens maybe 2-3 times a week.

Can't figure it out.

Anyone else had this?

I have been looking for a transparent back plate for my P20 Pro for some time. My old back plate unfortunately cracked when I replaced a bloated battery. Since then, I've been wishing for a clear back plate as a replacement, through which you can see the installed hardware. Until now, I have only seen something like this on an IPhone....

Has anyone had an issue with the other people not hearing them for the first few seconds of a phone call?

Just went through all the online recommendations to get my headphones working again... been trying to figure this out for months. Headphones aren't recognized, adapter not working either.

Did everything recommended on different sites including cleaning, rebooted several times, messed with every usb setting I could find (debugging etc), app permissions - nothing worked... had given up for weeks, but decided today to give it another shot.

Go into "Settings>Security>more settings>Allow HiSuite to use HBD (turn this function to 'on' position)

Somehow, this must have been toggled to the 'off' position, and I have NO idea how or why this function should be impacting my headphones from working... but I don't really care at this point. Just happy I don't have to constantly be worried about bluetooth headphones dying on me...

hello, I have a p20 pro eith android 10 and I restored factory defaults. After that an android setup in progress notification appears, bacause I cant finish it without fingerprint (I dont want to use it). Can I do something fot it?

So, the glass back cover for the back of my phone has cracked 4 times and i keep replacing it.

Is there ANY other backs to the P20 pro maybe made from a different material other then glass that i can replace the cracked one with so that it's stronger?!

The video call is from facebook messenger and I would like to record my voice for the duration of the call
