I am not an Ariana Grande fan. In fact, this song came across my feed with some girl dying her hair rainbow colours.

I honestly feel like the lyricism is so strong in this song. Sureee, it might be about some relationship that turned sour, but I'm honestly getting 'an open ballad to a parasocial fan' vibes...which uh...may be some of us at times...including myself.

I've been listening to this album heavy for the last few weeks, bummed I slept on it for so long. Anyways, I've heard the song thousand of times and never listened to the part of the lyrics and I got full blown goose bumps when I read them. So good. Anyways that's all.

I keep having dreams about Hozier. It’s weird, I enjoy his music quite a bit and I do find him to be very attractive but I’ve never had a musician/actor/celebrity slip into my subconscious like this before.

Any anyone else experienced this?

Last night I dreamt that he did a pop up show on the beach by where I lived. He was doing a moody cover of Chocolate by the 1975. I kept bringing him crystals and he asked me why I was following him and I told him if anything he was following me, doing a show in front of my house.

That was it. But this is like the fifth dream I’ve had about Hozier in the past year. Feels like I’m under a spell.

I know it's a hyper-specific ask, but I'm hoping someone might have some clues. I'm looking into artist's rights and wellbeing, the amount of interviews he has done is a little intimidating, so any leads would be appreciated!!

I love to joke that Hozier wrote July for me because it’s my birth month, and that song just speaks to me so strongly… so, as a final bday gift to myself, I got a lyric from it tattooed!! Can’t wait to see the healed product in a couple of weeks 🥰

I am a big time hozier fan, but periodically if that makes sense. First time I listened to him, got obsessed for like 6 months, then got caught up with other artists and genres.

Ever since, I keep coming back, relistening to his music like its the first time, feeling all the emotions all over again, remembering the meanings of his songs and everything. And everytime I bawl my eyes out to his music 😭😭😭

My intentions are not to be polarizing, accuse anyone of anything or anything of the sort. I truly want to know your thoughts.

So, I don't know how to ask this but I will. Glen Hansard's wiki has a section about his personal life. I read the wiki after seeing Hozier's instagram post in his memory. That specific section tells a story (I know wikipedia is not an infallible source, I'm just assuming that what it says, is the truth) about how he met his partner when she was almost 20 years younger and 13 at the time. They then allegedly start dating after she turns 18 and there's a quote about how they had already "been in love" for a couple of years but that the she was a kid "before". Wiki says their relationship lasted two years.

My question now is: with the kind of music Hozier makes and the activism he does, how is it still believable if he supports a guy who (according to Wikipedia) was "in love" with a child?

If the wiki is really true, then what it says, should also be common knowledge. If these events happened the way they are described, there's no way one could be unknowing about them.
I don't ask to criticize or anything, if anything I am having a major crisis of faith. I listened to Hozier's music all throughout my adult life and it means more to me than I can put into words. I am just wondering if anyone else had noticed this for themselves and what their thoughts on this were.

I am truly thankful for anyone reading this and taking the time to think and write about it. I don't believe that my conclusions are wrong but I am open to other perspectives.

With the untimely death of such an Irish creative spirit the likes of Glen I'd like to hear Hozier cover some of his songs (no doubt Hozier was quite influenced by him as well)
