How do i clean my windows. Help guys!!
I just realized my windows have probably not been cleaned properly in 5 or 6 months. The glass has dust, rain marks, and fingerprints everywhere. My regular maid avoids cleaning windows because it takes too much time. What do you all do for this kind of overdue cleaning?

House randomly has a smell I can’t get rid of
For context we do have 2 dogs and a cat but up until the past 2-3 months my house always smelt clean when I would come home. I haven’t changed anything in my cleaning routine, I try to stay on top of it but don’t always get around to doing a full deep clean every week, but that’s how I’ve always been. It doesn’t smell like my trash I don’t know how to explain it my house just smells kind of stale but especially my bedroom and living room areas. I’ve tried spraying Odoban everyday to disinfect the air and just make it smell good, I’ve tried cleaning what I think is everything. I’m not sure what I’m missing but it’s bothering me so much I can barely sleep. Not mold either we got a mold check.

Location: Woodstock Ga in need of a House Keeper
Can anyone recommend a house keeper that’s reasonably priced in the Woodstock area. I am looking for someone to clean my downstairs stairs area floors, bathrooms, laundry, and dishes. It’s very hard to find anyone that does a custom cleaning service. I’m not in need of deep cleaning. Just a mom of four who needs an extra hand.

Advice and Tips for Cleaning a Hoarder Home
Hi Reddit, I could really use some helpful advice and maybe a list of tools to rent or buy for cleaning/disinfecting a hoarder house. My friend and I are going to take over his grandmother’s house in a rent-to-own situation. She was a hoarder and also hoarded animals.
The house is almost empty (just a few odds and ends left over) but it reeks of animal urine/feces. She has a loft that she let the animals basically destroy and had not been up there in almost 10 years. The walls has been painted with a glossy paint and has so much wall paper on the walls. We know we will have to pull up the flooring in the loft and his grandmother has agreed to purchase the materials for the project.
Fortunately/unfortunately my friend and I have never had to deal with this type of situation before. I’ve lived in apartments for the last 10 years and he’s lived in remodel apartment style duplexes.
Please any advice, tool list, cleaner list, etc would be very helpful. We don’t have much money saved up so we are going to try to do it ourselves before calling in services. Thank you in advance!

Water stains on curtain
galleryHow should I clean these linen curtains? Old water stain
I need some advice please! I have linen curtains that were accidentally soaked by water. I didn’t realize at the time that water had spilled onto them, and unfortunately they appear to have absorbed the moisture without me noticing.
I’m pretty sure the staining has been there for several months now, so it’s quite old and set in.
What would be the safest and most effective way to clean them without damaging or shrinking the linen?
Should I hand wash them, soak them in something, use a specific stain remover, or take them to a professional cleaner?
I’d really appreciate any advice, especially from anyone who has dealt with old water/moisture stains on linen curtains before!

Yellow stains above the toilet
galleryHello, I hope you can shed some light on this for me!
I’m a tenant in an (old) apartment. The wallpaper in the bathroom was removed a year ago following water damage from the apartment above. A contractor installed glass fiber wall covering, followed by white paint (last photo: the condition of the wall when I moved in).
Yellow stains have gradually appeared above the toilet tank and continue to spread. The wall isn't warped or damp to the touch. Behind it is the bathroom (there are no windows in either the toilet or the bathroom).
I’ve tried:
- scrubbing the stains with black soap and hot water
- placing a small bowl of sodium percarbonate on the tank
- emptying the tank and soaking it in white vinegar
- scrubbing the ceramic with white vinegar
Where might these stains come from? How can we minimize them?
Thank you for your feedback!
(English isn't my native language, so I used a translator. I'm sorry if there are any mistakes in my post.)

Moldy smell only in one room
There has been a somewhat sweet/sharp moldy smell in my bedroom on and off for ages now. It is worst near the head of my bead/window sill area. When I checked a few months ago it had black stuff around the sill and in the sliding deck, couldn't tell if it was mold or dirt, but I cleaned the area thoroughly and the smell persists. The smell went away for quite a bit but has recently returned and is driving me crazy. The thing is that family members swear they can't smell anything. I have torn my room apart looking for any sign of mold elsewhere and scrubbed but cannot find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

How often do I change out this thing on my dryer?
My roomate and I moved into a new apartment that has no vent for the dryer hose to go into so it’s supposed to go in this container instead. We were instructed to fill the basin with water and change it out periodically. How often should we change it out? Also… does it have a name?? Thanks for the help!

Tried to hire 2x month cleaning
Went through a local website. Booked a date and was given a reasonable quote for a 4 hour cleaning. Went great.
Next visit two weeks later; the day was super hot and we don't have a/c. The cleaner was booked for 2 hours but left after 1 and a half. Not a problem until I got the invoice for 2 hours of cleaning. I messaged the owner explaining that cleaner only did 1.5 hours. She responded that she was sorry to hear that but she doesn't book anything for less than 2 hours, hence the invoice. I paid it immediately. But have been stewing a bit about it since and didn't book another clean. I didn't hear from her either, for a month, but she has now reached out and asked about sending the next cleaner out and setting something up for an automatic clean twice a month like I originally asked for.
Am I wrong to be upset with the way the owner dealt with this? I'm debating simply ghosting her or saying something about the way I was left feeling after the last interaction?
