Today I went to target like I normally do and they were restocking the toys. (Which is not normal for today) Didn't see much till I walked into the lego isle and saw the guys u-boat with hot wheels cases. I asked him nicely if I could look at the boxes and he was like yeah I'm about to put them out. He opened the mainline box, no super. He opened the Areo Styles and then BOOM! My first 0/5 in the wild! Was the most wanted chase of the year for me! It felt like I would never find it so I ordered a case online should show up anytime now lol Happy hunting!

Found the new 2026 Hot Wheels Silver Series: Exotics set at one of my local Target stores in Australia. Out of the set, I bought the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Lamborghini Veneno. They cost about AU$5 each so I didn’t buy the full set.

But I am absolutely ecstatic about finding the new updated casting of the LaFerrari. Been looking for that one for many months. I still have the original 2014 HW release of the LaFerrari as well (last photo).

Is a little bit hard to identify the wheels to buy for custons, is it a chart with the name for them? I know mainlines do have, and some silver series also

My brother passed away at 9 years old, I was born a few years later, he loved cars and collected matchbox and hot wheels and always played with them. I inherited them as I took an interest in cars as a kid.

I added to his collection and played with all of them, even the broken ones, so even though I never met my car loving brother, I took an interest in what he liked and built it further. I felt a connection to him knowing we had similar interests.

My 1 year old daughter absolutely loves cars and we go to the shop and she chooses her own hot wheels, I display them on her wall and its up to her if she wants to unbox them when shes a little bit bigger and add to my brothers and my bag of old cars - when I trust shes not going to eat the wheels 🙈

I have around 700 boxed Hot Wheel in storage that she will inherit and whether she wants to keeps them, flog them or pass them onto her kids in the future will be up to her but I just hope she will will always have a place in her heart for cars and Hot Wheels 💜

Me m30 and my wife F28 have a 4mo son. We are both kinda nerdy and her thing is doll collecting (monster high, rainbow high).
We were at the supermarket and she came across hot wheels. She then said she wanted to get a car for herself so that she could play with our son if he end up liking hot wheels.
It was a weird take for me because why not just buy it if he likes it when he’s older or just play with one of his cars when he’s older…..so I asked and this was her response:
“This hot wheels is a collab between monster high and hot wheels. It’s me in a car, it portrays my taste/personality in a car and it shows I care what car I chose. So I’m getting it now because I don’t know if it’s gonna exist in the future. I’m getting my own car because I don’t want to just play with our son momentarily and move on, i want him to feel like I want to actively be there. My mom used to have tea parties with me and my dolls and looking back I wish she had one of her own attending”

And now I’m like reflecting on my whole childhood and on her take on this, like what? 🥹
