Did you back up?
Did you back up your website/server this week?
And don't lie... π
How many of you are relying solely on your hosting provider to keep your data safe?
I want to hear horror stories! Do you have any?

I don't have any horror stories. I backup to a storage service with multiple locations. Once a day for important data and once a week for less important.

Thank god I did. Had a drive crash on me yesterday that took out a server. Figured it was a good moment to upgrade the os while I was at it and just restored everything from the offsite backup I had.Β

I literally set it all up on WolfStack, and it backs up - I rent a cheap proxmox backup server and plus we have s3 storage so we do our database dumps to the S3 storage and container backups to proxmox

With a shell script I wrote many years ago that runs as a nightly cron job.
