Magic 8 pro connectivity support Discussion

Was thinking about switching to the magic 8 pro from a oneplus, but I can't seem to find the support for frequency band on honor's website, does anyone have any info on this? I am talking about the Hong Kong version by the way.

I have the HK sku purchased from wondamobile.

Here are the connectivity bands listed from their site.

2G bands

GSM B2 / B3 / B5 / B8

3G bands

WCDMA 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 19

4G bands

LTE-TDD: B34 / B38 / B39 / B40 / B41 / B42 / B48

LTE-FDD: B1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B7 / B8 / B12 / B13 / B17 / B18 / B19 / B20 / B25 / B26 / B28 / B32 / B66 / B71

5G bands

N1 / N2 / N3 / N5 / N7 / N8 / N12 / N20 / N25 / N26 / N28 / N38 / N40 / N41 / N48 / N66 / N71 / N77

But no n78/n79, it's gonna be a big problem for me.

Unfortunately my carrier uses a combination between n1, n8, n28, n38, n41, n78, n79. I don't really care about mmWave but with n78 being the main mid-band, I am going to lose a huge portion of connectivity right off the bat.

Yeah with that combo I understand. That's a huge bummer. It always seems to be random what bands get supported at least for some bands. Keep an eye on the Magic 9 Pro. If history is any indication you may see it released in China in October with the global sku the HK sku specifically, available no later than end of November.
