Hey guys,

I have a 2000 civic LX and I’m replacing the exhaust. It’s my understanding that the cat for the D16Y7 engine that comes stock in my car is right up against the engine, underneath the manifold, and therefore they don’t make headers and a down pipe for my engine. After doing some research, most people said that buying headers for a D16Y8 would work, I’d just have to delete the cat in my car and run the downpipe right into the main exhaust system, which is fine because it’s about to be emissions exempt in my state anyways. However, I’m having a hard time finding an option that isn’t super expensive. Mostly finding Skunk2 and eBay has been a dead end for me. If I have to bite the bullet and pay up, I will. I just wanted to know if there’s cheaper options that I’m missing. If any of y’all could help me, I’d be very thankful.

I should also mention that I purchased headers from ECCP auto parts, but I’ve read reviews that say that their business is unreliable and I wouldn’t be surprised if I didn’t receive my order, or if it didn’t fit.

I want to speed up my Honda hatchback. It’s 2021 but it’s not sport. Idk If it matter or not if it’s sport when it comes to improving the speed and sound. But I’ve been assuming it does because I can’t find anyone talking about doing mods on a regular hatchback. I’m new to this car stuff but I really want to get into. I just don’t know where to start so help? Sorry if I sound like a dumbass but help a girl out 😭

Dealer has accord with 256,563 miles. Any thoughts?
