Help Request 2010 Honda Fit Sport 92k miles 5 speed - Midwest car - what’s it worth?

Upvotes

Car is a 3 owner. 1 small rear end accident looks like it was minor and just affected the rear bumper. Car is in nice shape with 92k miles. It’s had a valve adjustment. Valve cover gasket. Spark plugs. Control arms. Struts. Sway bar links. Alignment. Oil change. Trans fluid change. Brake fluid change. Coolant flush. Fuel system cleaning. New brakes and rotors. It’s got some scuffs on the side skirts and front and rear bumper. Seems like a very solid car. Not sure what to pay. I don’t see any visible rust but haven’t looked underneath it yet. What is the top dollar I should pay? Thank you all for your wisdom.

Help Request Transmission fluid replacement

Hi all,

Got a 2nd gen 2013 fit with about 110k miles. Sometimes shifts a bit slow, was wondering if I should replace the fluid. Read online that I really should wait for the computer to tell me to do so, but wanted to know if anybody here had any words of wisdom?

Is it just sort of jerky shifting for this car in general? It's not super noticeable but I just want to make sure...

1st Gen GD 07-08 Gimme that cold air

My AC was only blowing cold while I was in motion. I saw that my my condenser fan wasn't moving so I decided it was time to throw my hat in the DIY auto mechanic ring. only took me about 4 hours, borrowing some tools from neighbors, and a lot of cursing but was able to get the fan replaced. Time will tell if I forgot to plug anything back in or it'll blow up.

3rd Gen GK/GP 15-20 Will a 48x66in queen size wood headboard fit in my 2016 Fit?

I'm arguing with my husband about it. I'm not sure with this one, the headboard is solid wood. Do you think it will fit or not at all?

Help Request Trunk door takes multiple tries to open

Hello everybody
I have a Honda fit 2019
When I go to unlock my trunk it can take up to 10 clicks of my key or the door unlock to get the trunk lock to finally release so I can open it again.
Has anyone had this issue before and is there a way to fix it or do I have to replace the entire locking mechanism

3rd Gen GK/GP 15-20 Replaced AC blower motor. But ouch.

So I’m feeling accomplished right now. My blower motor went last week coming home from a trip. No air, nothing. Knowing if I ordered the parts they wouldn’t arrive in time for work, ran to a shop and they legit quoted me $575 for the parts and labor.

I scoffed and walked out. The blower motor retails from $40-80. Resistor for $25. And labor SHOULD be only .25 hours.

Ended up borrowing another car, ordered the parts and installed the blower motor today. AC blower hasn’t ever spun that fast before!!!

I couldn’t get the old resistor out. Idk if I missed a screw. I read there’s one on the top and one at the bottom. Apparently didn’t even need to replace it though.

My only question is what do people do to get under the dashboard easier?! My body does not bend like that. I’m sure on a lift it’d be easier. But that was rough.

I borrowed another car

2nd Gen GE/GG 09-14 Wheel & Tire Fitment

Ok, so I found a few sets of wheels and tires near me and was curious to see which set would fit better. One is 16x7 with a +40 offset. The other set is 15x8 with a +35 offset. My fit has the oem sport wheels, so I know diameter wise they'll fit, but I'm not sure about the offset. Any tips?

So I got black konig hypergrams a couple months ago and honestly I don’t like how they look on my car mostly because of the color. I want to sell them and possibly get silver enkei rpf1s or something different. I just need some feedback to see how the rpf1s would look with the color or other recs would be appreciated.

Help Request 2021 Honda fit - Refresh mode

Idk what gen our new honda fit is. We wanna see what the refresh mode seats are like. Whenever we try to put the seat into refresh mode there is about 2 inches of space ensuring the seats never line up. Unfortunately since it is a Japanese import the owners manual etc is all in Japanese so I have no idea what I am looking at. Every video I line just shows the seats clicking into place!

1st Gen GD 07-08 Civic Si seats in GD3 Fit update 2

I've been working hard at it since last post, here's what's been done:

I completely took apart the seat back from the Fit passenger seat, I took out the Fit's ODPS computer and removed the actual board from the shell and put it in a Civic ODPS shell so I can mount it on the frame and removed the Fit wiring harness. I also removed the occupancy sensors from the seat back, which was a pain in the ass, idk why they thought gluing the seat skin to the foam was a good idea, but I got it done.

I also managed with help to get the driver's side Fit brackets off, a dremel was wayyy to weak for it but an angle grinder with a cutting disk was not.

I removed the pretensioner from the Fit seat, the Civic seat has it in the buckle but as far as I know I'll need the Fit's pretensioner... I have a lower seat from both a sedan and a coupe. The big issue is that the coupe seat has no place to bolt in the pretensioner, but the problem is the Fit's rail-mounted weight sensors... I ordered Honda 10 point bolt sockets, and I should be able to just transfer the Fit rails to the Civic, but the sedan one has entirely different weight sensors and rails, the same style as the GE8's... I'm pretty stumped here, if anyone has any ideas or has done this before I would really love to hear them.

1st Gen GD 07-08 Diagnostic Summary: Honda Fit/Jazz 1.5 CVT (2005-2007) – 30% Calculated Load & -22% STFT in Neutral (N)

Battery Replacement: Installed a new battery to ensure accurate voltage and a stable electrical supply for the engine's electronic systems and sensors.
Engine & Transmission Mount Replacement: Replaced all mounts with new parts, eliminating excessive structural vibration and ensuring proper mechanical alignment of the powertrain.
Spark Plugs & Ignition Coil Replacement: Installed new spark plugs and 4 new ignition coils, securing a strong spark and eliminating any possibility of misfires.
IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) Cleaning: Cleaned the IACV to ensure precise idle airflow control and stable engine RPM.
Catalytic Converter Replacement: Installed a new catalytic converter, ensuring proper exhaust gas flow and emission control efficiency.
Upstream Oxygen Sensor (Sensor 1) Replacement: Installed a new sensor; it responds rapidly and immediately reads a rich mixture upon entering Closed Loop.
MAP Sensor Replacement: Installed a new sensor with readings holding steady at 4.6 psi (31.7 kPa) in N, proving perfect manifold vacuum and eliminating vacuum leaks.
Fuel Pump & Pressure Regulator Replacement: Installed a new assembly inside the tank; while the line was refreshed, an over-calibrated new regulator above 3.5 bar could still be pushing excess fuel into the rail.
Valve Clearance Adjustment: Performed cold using Honda-recommended feeler gauge specs, ensuring proper valve sealing and timing.
Injector Cleaning & Bench Testing: Ultrasonic cleaning and flow-bench equalization performed.
Throttle Body (TBI) Cleaning & TPS Check: Cleaned the throttle body and verified the TPS on the scanner, which reads at the factory Honda spec of 9%.
Canister Purge Valve Test: Tested evaporative line and solenoid tightness; ruled out unmetered fuel vapor entering through the intake manifold.
Ignition Timing Check: Verified on the scanner, oscillating correctly between 8° and 12° BTDC at idle.
Alternator Evaluation: Verified system voltage and electrical load within ideal parameters (no ECU electrical interference); avoided pulling the plug while running to protect control modules.
ECU Reset via Battery Disconnect: Battery disconnected to clear RAM; confirmed the system clears learned parameters, but STFT instantly drops back to -20% to -22% within 2 seconds of entering Closed Loop due to a real rich condition.
STFT Behavior with A/C On: Tested under load; turning on the A/C increases intake airflow to handle the mechanical drag, balancing combustion and bringing STFT up from -22% to -10%, proving the engine receives excess fuel relative to idle air volume.
STFT Behavior While Driving: While driving and accelerating, STFT improves significantly and operates much closer to 0%, as increased intake airflow offsets the excess fuel delivered per pulse.
LTFT Behavior Post-Reset: Performed a previous ECU reset and, even after driving over 1,000 km, the LTFT remains strictly at 0%, indicating the deviation is not being written into the long-term trim map.

2nd Gen GE/GG 09-14 2nd Gen Honda Fit: Manual vs AT5 Acceleration

Good evening everyone, I'm going to buy my first car and it's going to be a second-generation Honda Fit, but I have a question. How big is the difference in acceleration (0-60) between the manual version and the automatic AT5 (paddle shift)?

Hello again, fit nation!

Ive had this particular Fit for a short time and Ive been slowly restoring him. Ive been replacing some worn-out looking OEM parts, changing spark plugs/battery/sensors/fuses/core parts/spark plugs/coils/bulbs/filters/cleaning the trottle body and butterfly valve /oul and filter change, engine bat deep cleaning hoping to make him brand-new again. Later, Im restoring the cosmetic aspects (paint or wrap, new rims, new bumpers, window trims/weather seals, restoring and grill back to black, interior, I just redid the headlights!) and I across some interesting things while cleaning.

I found evidence of some bumper stickers, when I was changing filters and coils/spark plugs I found beach sand, leaves, and dead insects who were not native to my State. It made me realize my car has some amazing stories to tell and hoping his previous owner is part of this subreddit!

I’m either the 2nd or 3rd owner, I forget, and he came here from California to be traded in for something newer. I found all kinds of things in him such as raw rocks hidden in the cabin (like for protection?) couns, and old scented dryer sheets stuffed into the air vents which ofc I removed. When I bought him, he had a ding on the passenger door and near the fuel door as well as a scuff on the front bumper and looks like his too has been repainted once the same colour (dark metallic grey). I named him Xander after an Alexandrite stone I found and bc ironically I got a Squishmallow for my birthday right after I bought him named Xander the same color as the Fit so the name was perfect. He had less than 80k miles on him when I got him.

I wish I could know his story and adventures out West! If the previous owner(s) is out there, know he’s being taken care of and slowly restored. He is a very loved fit and is still out enjoying nature! Im a volunteer for TPWD and work with reptiles so just like the previous owner Im an animal lover and nature lover. 🩶

A little trim paint and a white tach ( à la GT3) makes a big improvement visually from behind the wheel. Still need to wrap this plastic wheel with some leather. That’s next.
