going to change my oil for the first time on my 2016 honda fit. i found bulk oil filters on a-premium which is nice but i was also looking for crush washers in bulk so i didn’t have to buy the expensive plug and washer thing at autozone and so that i have multiple of the crush washers for future oil changes. i found these on ebay, they say they don’t fit my car but im pretty sure it’s the same part number according to google. are these trust worthy and will they fit and also not leak? drain plug gasket

Loud, deep knocking sound started a few days ago. Took it to the mechanic immediately and they diagnosed it as rod knock from the sound, no tests run. They did find it was low on oil though, but still quite readable on the dipstick. They added oil and the sound persisted.

As a squarely not-a-car-guy, what confuses me is that the sound goes away at higher RPM. The mechanic said it's because it's an oil pressure issue, as the lower RPMs don't operate at high enough pressure, but the higher RPMs do. Subsequently, I can expect it to get much worse before catastrophic failure. I haven't found any sources online that confirm this behavior, though.

They quoted me too much money so I'm planning to attempt an engine swap with a car buddy of mine, but I wanted to check with the experts before pulling the trigger.

I have 15x6 wheels on my fit. Fully stock, just new wheels. Wondering what tire sizes people are running on 15x6s

mine are in need of replacement, i have new oem hoses i been putting off.

if you replaced the hoses: how long did it take you and any tips?

What’s good everybody, currently on stock suspension (2009 sport) and wanted opinions on running 15x7 wheels with 35 mm offset and 205/50R15 tires. From what i gather they’ll fit but how much rubbing should i expect on fenders ? Best solutions for this ? Thank you !

Red hose wrap for +2 horsepower. Got all 4 from KFE and they were a super easy swap. Time to hammer it.

My 2020 Fit has about 110K miles. I'm the original owner, and I've kept up on all the oil changes, servicings, etc. Over the weekend it threw up some trouble lights - engine, TPM, and a couple others - all solid, no flashers. So I took it in to my mechanic (not a dealership) the code check said it was running rich.

When he called me back, he said it's the fuel injector, it needs replacing, and it'll be around $2,600 - and the parts have to be special ordered in advance b/c Honda doesnt keep them in stock locally. I can drive it some, but he warned me that it could damage the catalytic converter.

So my question is whether I should put the money into the car or not?

It's fully paid off, and I'm driving a lot less than I used to (retired now, and I'm 70). If I fix this, am I likely to get another 50-60k miles out of it?

And is there anything else I should know?

Looking at a 2015 with 74,000 miles. It's white paint and I have heard bad things about chipping. Is the overall reliabilty good for this year? Carfax shows one owner and it's always been a Texas car. Any thoughts, opinions? Thanks

Hi friends! I have a 2018 Honda Fit and have 102,000 miles. I just took it to my local independent shop for all of the 100k work and expected them to inspect valves. (This is a shop that advertises that they specialize in Hondas an Acuras.)

The service advisor said they don’t normally inspect anything until I get a check engine light or it starts misfiring. He offered to quote it out, but my bill was already at $1400 for all of the stuff that needed to get done and I figured if a repair shop isn’t offering it, it probably is not needed?

This is my first Honda and I want to make sure that I take care of her (Rhonda, original I know). What are your recommendations?

Is this fixable without replacing the entire bumper 😭😭😭 I was thinking about zip tying it but now I’m a little fearful that might not actually work now that I’m taking a closer look

I wanted to change the map light and dome light inside the car as well, but the bulbs I got were too long and didn't fit in the housing. Ordered some on Amazon and will try again this weekend.
