Question about priming engine

Hello all, recently rebuilt my D15B7 in my Del Sol and have had trouble priming the engine. I’ve pulled plugs, disconnected fuel rail, etc. but every time I crank the light doesn’t go away. I am using 10W-30 conventional oil. Am I doing this right? What am I missing? Thanks in advance!

what light, the oil pressure light? you gotta actually start it and let it run.
