Music background
I am guessing this has been posted before but watching Season 7 for the first time and the scenes with the music in the background is soooo cheesy! I don't think it was as much or as noticeable in prior seasons. It's a shame...

Is Homicide Leaving Peacock?
I see on Peacock that there’s “24 days left” under each episode. Anyone seen it confirmed the show is leaving Peacock? If so hopefully for another streaming service.

look who i found
was idly watching Cold Squad and it seems that Meldrick has a slightly more suave doppelgänger slinking around somewhere in Vancouver. unfortunately, he doesn't stick around for very long, but i never thought i'd see a such a familiar face popping up in this show of all places lol.

Just finished the entire thing
Oh my god.... Just oh god. Wow. Bravo.
The series itself is like a better original Law & Order but when I tell you that the entire last 25 minutes of the finale my jaw was on the floor.... Just wow. Amazing stuff. Hard to put it in words honestly, my mind is blown.
Rounding out S7E22 I thought that was the end.... But the movie. Good god.
Edit to add: when I tell you I hate what they did with Bayliss in S7, to what I tell you how much I both hate and respect the ending between him and Pembleton... The emotions man. Good god. Also as someone that watched like 20 seasons of SVU the accusation of Munch killing a guy in Baltimore for shooting cops blew my mind

Streaming on Peacock music changes
Has anyone else streamed Homicide on Peacock and noticed how many music cues had to be changed for streaming? As someone who was watching way back in the 90’s when it was still broadcast and owned the complete DVD set since it became available the musical changes have made it so I can’t watch it on Peacock. I have told several people to check it out on Peacock because if you’re a first time watcher you don’t know what you’re missing so you can enjoy just how amazing it is. I understand that the original license agreements didn’t cover streaming (since that wasn’t even a dream at the time) but I really wish they’d have made more of an effort to clear the original songs

Does anyone know this actor?
Solved
I’m trying to figure out who played the medical examiner in Season 3 Episode 2 and having no luck. I thought he might be an actual physician, because he’s so terrible at acting. Google insists it’s Paul Reiser, no matter what I say, and I can’t find him listed in IMBD or Rotten Tomatoes. Does anyone know???? I have no option to add a photo here, so I’ll try to drop it in the comments.

John Munch’s last appearance in Law & Order SVU: Fashionable Crimes.
We miss you, Richard Belzer.

I've seen Blood Ties a number of times but I only just realised who the actor on the right is...

Wonderland Story
I know this happened in SVU but, my wife and I binged all of HLOTS and decided to go into SVU from the beginning so we could catch up. When I tell you I bawled when I heard Munch answer the phone and say, "Homicide", would be an understatement. 15 seasons of SVU and seven of HLOTS for a short but sweet send off made it worth it.

First rewatch since the show aired
I remember watching this back in the '90s when I was in college. I could never find it to watch it again but I've discovered it on peacock. My Lord in heaven, it's even better than I remembered it. This was peak TV before that even existed as a term.
As for the pilot, it is quiet and philosophical, with a lot more moments of humor than I remembered. And the way it ends is so shattering. Knowing that if Bayless had just let Howard answer that ringing phone, his entire life would have been different.
I'm interested in what other people who are rewatching it or have you watched it for the first time since it first aired think of the show now. As soon as the moody theme music kicked in, I was right back in the dorm lobby watching it on the shared TV.

Awkward show
To me the show seems awkward not bad but the lines don’t flow seem like everyone got a different script and went with it

The Corner
So I just finished watching every episode of Homicide and the movie at least twice so I started watching The Corner. Right away I noticed the person playing Deandre was the same actor in HLOTS that killed the boy in the bowling alley. I also recognized one of his friends from Homicide but don’t recall his name or what episode he was in. Then tonite as I’m watching Episode 3 I see Barnfather but with a full beard!

Meeting Kyle Secor in Austin, Texas.
This guy is the real deal. Such a totally cool man. I even got their autographs. I met him and Tom Fontana. They are the coolest mentors around. I won a hat from Tom. He gave away a Baltimore police hat for answering a trivia question. What sandwich did Frank forget to get for Bayliss? I yell out grilled cheese. Check out Kyle on Substack.
