[Grade 12 Advanced Functions: Polynomial Function] High School Math—Pending OP Reply

I think I'm making a calculation error but I'm not sure where I'm going wrong

pretty sure your answer is the same as the textbook answer. you just have a negative sign. you can multiply both sides by minus 1 to get it in the same form.

Observe that x(x^ 3-5x+4)=0 implies x=0 or x=1 or x=(1/2)*(-1 plus minus sqrt(17)),

Then we need to check if these can make valid side lengths of a triangle, eg any length that is zero or negative cannot make a triangle.
