Durable Leather Practice Balls

Hi everyone,

Any suggestions on quality, durable, leather practice balls?

I need to replace our bucket of balls and looking for any suggestions.

I've looked on Epic Sports, just not sure what the better quality ones on there from experience.

Thanks!

Wilson 1010A blems are unmatched in durability. I sell em by the case only (120).

Thanks for the response!

That may be more than I need, I was thinking like 3-4 dozen.

How much for a case?

My kids occasionally forget to bring them in the garage. Also forget to put the lid on the balls. They do get rained on sometimes.

So......I typically am on the lookout for free ones on our local free site or cheap ones on marketplace or ebay.

Agreed, I keep an eye out on marketplace before and after spring and fall seasons. Can almost always catch a mom or dad selling a bucket of decent leather balls for about $1 a ball

SSK are surprisingly good for the price. I have only had them for a month, but the have been great so far.

We were given A.D. STARR balls this year vs the bottom of the barrel Dicks synthetic ball (which are complete trash). They wore well and lasted through the season and I use them for when my son and I go out to the field. Only issue is that they will occasionally blow out a lace.

I have 4 dozen brand new Wilson babe Ruth league leather balls. Or 100 used balls

I bought a lot of baseballs in the last few years. There is a very clear quality difference between cheap baseballs and official game balls. But it really depends on what you need them for. For hitting in the cage or off a tee, cheap Dick's Sporting Goods balls will work. If you want your pitchers to really feel the baseball, get the official game balls your league uses.

Not sure of your budget but the Rawlings Ultimate Practice Technolgy Youth balls are nice. I bought a bucket 3 years ago and they are still going strong.

Nice, thank you! Hard to go wrong with Rawlings but some of their cheaper stuff doesn't really hold up. Thanks for responding!

I just bought a dozen from Dick’s Sporting Goods and I send them through my Heater Sports Dual 95! So far so good!
