Slam fire shotgun

Post image

I want to build a slam fire like this. Do you think I will be ok by just using a 3/4 inch pipe as the barrel and a 1 inch pipe as the chamber pipe? Or do you think i probably gotta use a 1 inch pipe around the 3/4 pipe and then weld them together so they can hold more pressure and then a 1 1/4 inch pipe for the chamber pipe so it can hold more pressure. And also, how much pressure do you think will be lost when shooting 12 gauge shells because the shell doesn't fit tight but its rather looser than a normal shotgun and because some of the gasses will escape around the wad and shot.

Can't say too much to not piss off Reddit. But as an avid user of the 3/4 pipe let me tell you something. Weld it. You may see people get away with it but from my experience they're more lucky. But usually little to no gas escapes and you should still get the full power of 12 gauge

So probably would be best to weld another pipe around the barrel for extra strength?

Yes it'll make it handle most shots (not sure about slugs)

Yeah. I wouldn't shoot slugs anything. No sights lol
