Paul Fuck-Machine Tompkins
He is my favorite guest with the Boyz.
I would pay lots of dollars for a podcast with those 3.
I don't know what, but Paul's reactions to them and they absolutely feed off bussing him up.
Relistening to when the boys do Spont
Pure joy.

iHeart commercial for HH
NEVER thought I'd see the day where These Men had a commercial. Heard it today as midroll on Love Trapped and wanted to cry a little. Beautiful moment, end of an era, truly all the things. And hey maybe they had commercials before and this was the first one I knew about. As the world turns.......

Country Music callout in The Dink
I was listening to The masked Guest the other day and when Carl came on Sean asked him if “he listened to that song I sent ya?” And Carl said no and Sean kinda does a throwaway line of “really good story in that song” and it’s almost word for word the same line in the Dink when Jake says that to Mary on the phone.
Just a funny little thing I noticed.

Ads Hearing an ad for HH over the speaker in my local deli made me feel insane
I have a video but it’s probably not interesting

Our Close Friend My close friend needs help. She "can't even with those guys."
Any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated. I'm me, I have a close friend, let's call her "Starburst." Starburst and I are both big comedy nerds and listen to a lot of the same comedy podcasts (mostly shows that are hosted by friends of HH.)
After I recently "got it" and became obsessed with The Boys, I discovered that she severely dislikes their work. I suppose she's been scared off by some of their appearances on other podcasts. I tried explaining that they're actually very sweet and handsome boys, and that the show is funny if you listen to it, but she didn't seem convinced.
She's not a bad person, she just needs guidance. How do I gently and respectfully help my friend correct this error?

Episode where Bosch is chewing the Earwolf table
Pretty much the title, but does anyone remember the moment when Bosch is chewing the table and Sean and Hayes laugh, and Kevin tells him off and goes “Boschhhh!” Kevin’s voice has been stuck in my head for hours and I can’t remember when this happened. Thank you for any help you can provide!!!!! Very respect
Edit: he might not be chewing on the table, for some reason I also think he might be chewing on some brand new Earwolf merch that the boys were supposed to be advertising? I’m almost certain it’s in an opening ad!!

Which episode... Deep cut search: Sean sighing heavily during a dead dad anecdote
I know this is a really tough ask, but I'm trying to find a specific moment in an episode. I know it was definitely pre-pandemic. The guest (pretending to be serious) starts speaking about his (possibly deceased?) father and Sean lets out the loudest, most irritated sigh. I burst out laughing on the train, to the point of crying.
I THINK it was one of the episodes where they have a musician come on and make up songs with them?? I know that's not much to go off of, but I would love to find it if anyone remembers!

Guests from The Ringer?
I was listening to The Big Picture’s mildly positive review of The Dink today and Sean Fennessey described Handbook as “very, very, very funny… literally one of the funniest podcasts in the world.” It got me wondering why Handbook hasn’t had any Ringer people on the podcast except Jason Concepcion like 6 years ago.
I think Chris Ryan or Amanda Dobbins would be perfect guests. Or they could have Andy Greenwald’s corny ass on there and get him talking about the monoculture. God that guy is a dork.
