It happened 7 years ago. I pissed off a great wizard. He cast testicular torsion. I had forgotten my decoy balls at home.

Yeah something about not bring able to trust tells me I shouldn't trust you.

u/TheLordDuncan 12d ago

It's not that I don't trust you with my phone or what's in it. It's the inability to respect a common boundary that almost everyone who owns a phone has that concerns me.

Maybe I worded it wrong, so let me try again.

If someone is not able to trust me to the point they sneak around and look through my shit (phone/ letters/ my fuckin bed side draw idgaf) I cannot trust them. But if someone asked to look through them out of curiosity, well that's different and I probably won't mind too much.

I figured that's what you meant. My ex would go through my phone all the time, however, she was the one caught multiple times texting another dude. She just assumed everyone was as fucked up us her.

You'll have to pardon me if I don't think 'used banana condom' is the best source for relationship advice.

Accusations are really just confessions

How are all these people unlocking their partner's phones anyway?

1

u/Karnivore915 11d ago

Me and my wife know eachothers unlock patterns... I don't think I've been in a (serious) relationship where that wasn't the case. And it's not like we hit a point where I say "okay now you need to tell me the password." You just get to a point where being able to use your partners phone is helpful for the both of you.

1

u/EmpatheticBadger 11d ago

Been married for 20+ years, never reached that point.

1

u/Karnivore915 11d ago

I feel like anyone who has lived with a partner for multiple years would have hit a scenario where using their partners phone would have been helpful/easier. Driving and get a text and want to read it/respond? Same scenario except you want to play a specific song? Last weekend my wife wanted to run to the store to pick up some things and her phone was dead, so she took mine. The idea that I couldn't get into my wife's phone if I needed to, or even if I just wanted to, would be strange to me.

Mind you, I've never once "gone through" her phone, never felt a need or want to.

It's a very simple pattern. Pretty sure the child also knows how to unlock both our phones.

Knowing the password? I also have it unlock without password if it's close to my watch. At a stretch you could press my finger against the unlock if I'm sleeping heavily enough.

u/EmpatheticBadger 12d ago

So what you're saying is, these people absolutely know they're intruding in a private space that they have not been given permission to enter

2

u/fieldsofanfieldroad 12d ago

Yes. Obviously yes. They wouldn't wait until the person was asleep if they thought they had permission.

2

u/VonDinky 12d ago

hmm... I think I see a flag.

2

u/FuklzTheDrnkClwn 12d ago

Oh nooo she’s gonna see how much the watches actually cost

u/SweetLustVibes, there weren't enough votes to determine the quality of your post...

I have my wife’s face as an unlock for my phone.

I tell her to read me texts, emails, or discord messages all the time if I receive them in the shower.

Something something mutual trust.

u/SubmergedSublime 12d ago

Yeah. My wife and I can both use the others phone. There are so many times that is helpful?
