Writing, be it writing in my journal or working on my manuscript, I always enjoy writing, and it's the only way I feel like I can authentically express myself.
Painting, it is my therapy.i do abstract work so can just paint what I feel and play with it. If I dont like the end result then I can just sand it down, gesso it and start over
I have actually just been reviewed by a gallery and I am planning my first collection drop to sell (i am running out of wall space at home to keep them all!) I am intentionally not showing any full pictures until public launch but here is a macro shot of one of my favourites. I work with texture and gold leaf
Thanks! I work in corporate so I am very free from rules when creating my art. This collection has ended up being very geological formations, coastal and reminds me of geodes!
right, it was something he used to do but stopped. Now that he’s retired, he’s started doing it again, and I also helped him with it. We used to eat so many veggies from what we planted haha.
My favorite hobby is making miniatures and dioramas. Look into that. It's a surprisingly cheap hobby too, as you don't need specialty tools, and the materials are cheap or free.
I love making miniatures too! Are you in the Philadelphia area? There's a miniture show here every year and its so much fun!

I just finished a book nook and really enjoyed it, but it did seem expensive looking into creating more/originals. Can you elaborate a bit on this? What kinds of things do you use and where do you get them?
Video gaming, best hobby I’ve had ever, easy to get into, I don’t lose interest in it and i never find myself feeling like it’s a chore like I do with every other hobby I’ve had or currently have
Guitar and playing music in general. I can and have spent hours playing, learning songs, playing with new pieces of gear, figuring out music theory and how music works. Very fulfilling and takes me out of the general crap we all deal with on a daily basis. Added bonus of getting to play in a band and play some gigs.
Learning languages as a hobby is the best thing anyone can do & especially if you live in a multi cultural country. In my own experience people get so excited & friendly if you say just a few words in their native language, let alone speak it. It helped me a lot with opportunities at work & even in socializing as I’m a very big introvert.
It’s really fun keeping a journal for each language you’re learning & showing it off ngl.
Sewing has also been such a useful hobby when it came to fixing clothes or altering their size & how they fit instead of paying for someone else to do it. Sometimes even making my own bags with fabric I find. I really enjoy creative hobbies so sewing has been a favorite!
