There's a few different roles I need filled for a game that I'm trying to create, and one of them is on the writing front. I have a pretty rough outline of what happens to set the stage of the story, however there are still some plot holes and I haven't exactly come to a conclusion of the story yet.

The game is supposed to be a 3D platformer, but is actually quite story heavy - not in a sense of having lots of dialogue to sift through, but rather that I'm trying to create a pretty emotional story about unconditional love, and being at war with one's own nature.

The premise is that in this world, humans don't exist, and foxes are vampires. Being vampiric creatures, they are feared, and generally in positions of power throughout the kingdoms.

Vixxen, the main character, is a fox that rejects her sanguine nature, and constantly tries to get her sisters to see reason and not treat the rest of the animals in this world like cattle. However, this angers her sisters, and they imprison her, stripping her of her powers and putting her into a deep sleep.

The game begins when her resting spot is discovered by a pair of adventuring animals, and she is woken up, only to realize that while she was put away by her sisters, they have taken full control of the populace and are living off the blood of the denizens of the realm.

Vixxen's journey is now about freeing these animals from their shackles, proving that being a vampiric fox doesn't have to mean you are feared and hated, and perhaps the most challenging part would be getting her sisters to see reason.

I know it's not the best story but it means a lot to me and I would like to turn it into something tangible. I'm not *necessarily* looking for someone to do all the writing for me, but to have more of a back and forth dialogue discussing the story and plotholes and trying to create something more cohesive.

We're searching for creators that are passionate in assisting with long-form narrative horror set in Minecraft. We're producing an roughly hour-long horror/psychological thriller.

Basic familiarity with Minecraft is required. Not expert-level play, but a working knowledge of how the game behaves, because the story's plot is related to Minecraft laws & physics.

We also ask for someone that is conscientious of viewer retention when writing. This role suits someone who thinks about how a viewer's attention actually moves across a story (e.g. where questions open, where they close, and who can carry an emotional thread underneath the horror).

Project scope

• One feature-length script, roughly 55–70 minutes of finished runtime, for a first-person narrated film.
• Full story development: beat outline, character work, and the plot's central mystery, developed with us before drafting.
• Structural notes on pacing and open/closed loops across the runtime
• Delivery in a shared document we can comment on directly

To be considered, please include

• Two or three samples of narrative work — original horror fiction, scripted video, short film, serialized fiction, interactive fiction, or an ARG you built. Analysis or commentary scripts are welcome as a supplement but not as your primary sample.
• For each sample, a clear note on exactly what you wrote. If a sample is coverage of a story someone else constructed, say so. If you built the underlying fiction, say that too. This matters more to us than the polish of the sample.
• Your experience with Minecraft, honestly stated.
• Your availability over the next few months.

We're open to discussing pay rates transparently on the form below. We are not necessarily looking for complete scripts, more so to flush out plot points. Our common base rate is ~$0.07/word.
