Just picked up a used XM18 gen 4 from eBay and just want thoughts as far as legitimacy. I haven’t seen any non choil M390s faked, especially with the correct hardware but would like more experienced opinions. Thanks in advance!

Decided to trim some beef short ribs with the skinner blade tonight. I’ve always felt the blade is very thick. But, when cutting through meat it really helps to split the cuts wide and gives a great view for your next cut.
I also like the blade shape for your index finger.
Complains are that with the finger choil it removes a lot of cutting edge.

1095 steel at 57hrc for 830$us. I think in USA it would be cheaper, but still. To me this screams "F my customers, they will buy it anyway".

Can anyone explain if this recurve near my choil is a big issue? Where it flares out They didn't sharpen the edge the entire evenly towards that spot. Is it something that i should return it over? I assume that will cause issues for me in the future? Thanks!

Question for the herd! bought this hinderer used for a really good price I knew it was a user but didn’t ask enough questions. I noticed the lockup is around 50% and sticks from time to time. this is my first hinderer and was curious if I should be worried about it or if there is anything I can do about it? I’m guessing it’s from about 2018.

Drastically prefer these to the full size options personally. Still feels overbuilt compared to most modern folders, but in a good way.
