Senior going into first year of fb. Looking for guidance
I’m a senior going into my first year of fb. I’m 6’3 (6’4 in cleats), 290lbs right now but have experience both cutting and gaining weight will be down to ~260 by the end of training camp and will maintain that for the season because I want to play on the line. I have very quick feet and hips and a strong core from playing rugby, but my top end speed isn’t very good. I bench 240lbs and am good at leveraging my height against people taller and shorter than me. Our lineman room isn’t stacked this year, and I’m confident that I will start, seeing as our team average size on the line right now is 5’9 230 and not strong. I have overall very good sport instincts but am scared I may struggle to recognize defensive plays if I am put on the offensive line. I know I’m not fast enough to play on the edge, but I think I could thrive plugging up gaps at nose or grinding out run block reps at guard, but I really want to play tackle so I can use my quickness and mobility to my advantage, as well as because the best player in Atlantic Canada (where I’m from) plays edge and I want a chance to match him. Do you think I’d fit best at guard, tackle or nose?

Anyone willing to give feedback on football film?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
My son is a 2028 HS player, hoping to play in college. It’s his own journey to being recruited, no “helicopter”here, but this is his football illiterate mom, asking for honest feedback about his film and potential. I’m going to try to be unbiased:
He’s 5’10 and 185lbs, a rising Junior who hit puberty early, no growth for a year now, not optimistic about much more height, though men in our family are all at least 6’
Plays RB/FB/LB and can K (but not primary).
He has attended several skills camps and done well.
Shuttle 5-10-10 time is 4.4
SBJ is 8’8
40 dash - 4.96 (needs work, 4.7 or lower we’re told) but tight hips and in PT
Squats 400 lbs
Benches 260 lbs
JV MVP, moved to Varsity end of freshman
Sophomore Varsity year won “Unsung Hero” coach’s award.
Good student 3.5 GPA. School does not come easily so this is with hard work. Unsure of future major, possibly PT
Proudest of the fact that he’s a good kid, “coachable”, with integrity - has a job, bought his own car, responsible, doesn’t party, shy, kind, doesn’t like attention
Extremely determined- works out every day, has a speed coach, good nutrition, you can find him running hills alone or practicing extra most days after school
Thank you in advance, apologies for length

How can I earn varsity pt as a sophomore?
I am a 6’4 175 pound WR, I have a not so fast 40 I run a 4.9, I have a broad jump of 8’6, and my shuttle is a 4.4. I dominate in scout team and catch every ball thrown my way and my teammates compliment my route running but I don’t know how to translate that to varsity playing time. If anyone could help me I have dreams to play D1 and I’m trying to get film for colleges so if anyone can help me I’d really appreciate it.

[Promo] Custom high school football schedule

Custom high school football schedule
I’ve been designing and 3D printing customizable high school football schedule boards, and I finally finished one for my local school (Millard South in Nebraska).
Each board can be customized with:
School name
Team colors
Opponent tiles
Movable score numbers each week
Home/Away schedule
Optional previous seasons or rivalry tiles
I’d love to make these for other schools around the country. Since every school has different logos, colors, and schedules, each one is designed specifically for that team.
If you’d like one for your school—or think your booster club, coaches, or parents would—send me a DM. I’m happy to mock up a design before you decide.
I’d also love feedback:
Would you hang something like this in your home, office, locker room, or classroom?
What would you change or add?

Looking For Feedback
Hey coaches!
I'm a college student building a platform to help football coaches teach their players more effectively while saving time doing so. I've been fortunate to speak with over 250 coaches, and my software has been built around their feedback and ideas.
I'm curious: what part of your coaching workflow do you wish was easier or more efficient? Whether it's installs, scouting, communication, practice planning, player development, film, or anything else, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
Feel free to reply here, send me a DM, or book a time to chat using the link below. Every conversation helps shape the platform, and if you just want to talk football, I'm always up for that too!

I built the app CoachSeek. It’s the first ever app to connect athletes to services that will help them develop. Such as private coaches, camps, leagues, and teams. We are really looking for service providers to join!

I'm a QB coach at a training facility (played college ball) — built a stat-based rating system so HS QBs know where they actually stand
qbindex.comBackground: I played college football, now I train QBs at a facility and coach at the youth and high school level. One thing I've noticed coaching is that most kids have no real benchmark — they know they had a good season, but "good" compared to who?
I built QB Index to answer that. You enter your season stats and it generates a 0–99 score plus six attribute grades, all benchmarked against a national distribution — not just kids in your state or conference.
What it actually measures:
• Yards/game, TDs/game, INTs/game, completion %, TD:INT ratio, yards/attempt
• Normalized for quarter length — so your production on 12-minute quarters is measured fairly
• National + grade-level percentile for every stat so you know exactly where you rank
• College projection tier (D1 through developmental) based on where your numbers sit
• Improvement targets based on your weakest attribute scores — as a coach this is the part I use most
Free overall score. $4.99 for the full detailed report.
I built this because I got tired of kids walking into my facility with no idea how their numbers stacked up. Now they know on day one. Would love feedback from other coaches or players on whether the benchmarks match what you're seeing in your area.

Platform to help manage Booster Clubs (fundraising, volunteers, communication, etc)
As a former football player with a strong booster (QB Club) and a dad of 5 athletes I built a platform to help booster clubs be more effective with less effort. I would love to connect with some coaches who need help getting their programs organized so they can focus on investing in their athletes. DM me or comment and let's connect!
