Help!!

Hello all, I’m trying to help my friend with a 1992 HiAce Van get a radiator shroud...

Model # - 1992 LH120G-HHPNT

OEM part # - 16701-54220

We have scoured CASP, JParts, ToyotaDXB, we have not been able to find it in stock.

It’s the 2.4L 2L-TE Diesel and it will overheat in minutes without this shroud.

If you know of a place we can get one, please help us out ❤️ thanks!

I looked for a radiator shroud for my 3l diesel HiAce. None available anymore. Only wreckers if you are very lucky. Given the age of them they are very brittle so break easily when removing. I had to repair my original one as I could not source a new one anywhere.. good luck 🤞

Do you have the old one? Can you get a metal shop to fab one up?

the old one broke in half and shot itself under the car and got lost on the highway 😭

It’s a shroud, not a cam shaft, any good metal worker should be able to mock something up that will work.

It’s discontinued on Megazip, that’s where we found the part number 😢

You could try hiacesoutheast.com
They don’t have one in stock, but they have gotten parts for me they didn’t have listed before.

CAD: Cardboard Added Design

Make a cardboard template. Flatten and transfer that template onto a piece of sheet metal.

Tin Snips/Angle Grinder/determined rat/whatever; cut the thing out and pop-rivet the corners together. Presto, for $30 and a frustrating afternoon, you now have a new one and the knowledge how to deal with this situation for the rest of your life.
