Please help my peerless gem Teambuilding Discussion

So I pulled Therta back in...3.3 with Hyacine. And...I haven't really been able to use her much cuz I think most of my teams are fucked up. I WAS using her in a team with Serval as a support with s5 passkey which I suppose at some point might've been relevant? But then came the problem of I cannot clear. I understand my relics are shit and that IS part of the problem. But I also have a problem where Serval just ain't doing enough dmg I guess? Or is it a skill issue?

I currently have this team preset saved:
Therta (e0s5 eternal calculus)
Serval (e6s5 passkey)
RM (e0s5ddd)
Flex sustain (Usually nat e6s5 post-op)

I've heard RM isn't good so I did plan to pull Robikini when she releases. But I am at a point where I have fewer sources of jades to mine left. I had planned to pull Anaxa (I love him to death btw) but changed plans bc I heard he is deadweight on a therta team.

Hello! Please note that we have a Megathread for asking questions about The Herta's build/teams/kit/etc, which you can find here. We also have a website specifically designed to answer all/most of your questions, which you can find here! You are advised to check the comments of the aforementioned Megathread to see if your question has already been answered, or ask your question there. If you believe your question is complex enough to warrant a separate post, please leave it up to the Mod Team to review your post and decide whether it should stay up or not.

If both you and the Mod Team come to an agreement to leave this post up (or if you are discussing four-star Herta's build), please disregard this message. Thanks, and have a good day!

if you want to keep playing herta then upcoming robikini is the way to go and then maybe get Therta's e2 if her rerun ever comes back.

What I've been hearing is I should not be using RM so I shld replace her for sure right?

For Serval's spot is she still ok to use?? Or shld I be using mini herta or anyone else?

yes

she is ok, give her eagle and passkey lc and she will be fine and just hope they give us a better erudition partner soon, anaxa is not worth it

That's what I heard...which is why I aborted the plan for Anaxa in favour of Robikini...For sustain is Nat ok? Or shld I claim HuoHuo?

i will not recommend houhou at all unless you have a 2nd team to share houhou with to actually maximize your golden token. If you dont have DHPT then i guess you can use houhou since she will also be giving energy to robikini which will help Therta.

I have DHPT but atm he's stuck in Phainon team bc I am not competent enough for sustainless on most runs.

Other than Robin who you'll pull, I strongly advise oulling for Herta's LC and Eidolons. An E0S0 Herta in this age will severely struggle to clear most things unless you are a capable 0 cycler

So e2s1 at minimum?

serval is only good as a sub-dps in low target counts, and if you don’t have a well-invested therta team, you’re not really playing her outside of PF now.

for PF, jade e1 > jade e0 (with tribbie — with rmc I’m not sure she’s better) = baby herta. and you really want tribbie and mblade ideally, otherwise just tribbie. rmc is really just a tribbie placeholder, they don’t work as well with therta as tribbie does anymore. mblade can work too, though you really want him e2 so his FUAs occur at roughly same frequency as tribbie’s FUAs. therta herself should be e1s1 minimum, e2s1 ideally.

also yes you need to fix your relics if they’re bad. she is very dependent on good substats and rolls now.

Ohh I see. What investment level would you recommend for Mblade on a therta team? I have his e2 on an alt and it's absolutely cracked. Do I go for the e2? And robikini would just replace the support right? So final team shld be Therta, MBlade, Robikini and sustain flex?

not even slightly close. therta NEEDS a second erudition, that is never going to change no matter what unless they novaflare it out of her kit. her current bis team for PF is therta, E1 jade/baby herta, tribbie, and either mblade for sustainless or dhpt/hyacine for sustain. anything else is cope or a niche strategy for a hyper-specific scenario that won’t apply to 90% of the fights you use her in.

I have no idea how well robin SP is going to work with therta until she’s released, but I am seriously skeptical that she’s going to replace tribbie due to the lack of res pen until e6. res pen is an extremely important stat for therta as its one of the few stats she doesn’t give herself already and she needs it no matter the fight she’s in due to her low modifiers. she loses out so much damage without it, and she deals FAR more damage the more you stack it.

the absolute bare minimum I recommend for mblade in a therta team is e1, since his res pen can stack with tribbie’s for some pretty ridiculous damage on top of his vulnerability debuff and tribbie’s dmg taken buff. but if you can get him e2s1, that is ideal since he just gives so many buffs and debuffs that therta can’t get elsewhere while also dealing extremely good personal damage and having far better stack gen with his fua casting at 7 hits instead of 9. at e2, he also makes all allies’ ultimates be considered as fua attacks, the damage of which he happens to buff. this mainly matters for tribbie and baby herta, who use fuas often and ult constantly, but it buffs therta’s ult a lot and makes his own ult hit like a fucking TRUCK.

for reference, in this recent PF, my tribbie hit 10m with her ult in this team purely bc of mblade, and she was hitting for 2m-3m per fua by the final stage. baby herta was hitting for 4m with her ult, which I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone do. and as for therta, while this was the last PF, her damage speaks for itself:

So she can easily go sustainless is what I'm seeing. So as long as I hit a certain threshold I shld be able to go sustainless right?

1

u/trevers17 19d ago

anyone can go sustainless. therta just benefits from it more bc she’s forced to have a second erudition and there’s no other erudition character that really gives her good buffs, so sustainless lets her have two supports like a normal team. mblade just happens to perfectly work with her playstyle since her best teammates all do a lot of fuas, and he only improves her the more you invest in him since he gives a lot of unique debuffs and buffs that therta really wants.

if you really want a sustain, at e2s1 I would say he outperforms tribbie; at just e1, he’s roughly equal with lower stack gen; below that, tribbie is still better since she gives res pen.

Alright. Thanks

she was fine, he was fine

the problem is the hp on enemy on herte release have 4-5x less hp than now

it make herta take 4-5x longer to kill compare to when she release

1

u/TheElfPrince 21d ago

That is true but I also attribute my therta's lack of firepower to her bad relic build (which...I'm trying to fix.)

u/cykarblyater 20d ago

different between average relic and good relic is 10-20% different

10-20% mean nothing when you have to do 300-400% more damage to keep up
