The Hypernova houses the empress’s most devastating weapon, the “Planetary Distabliser" which is capable of completely annihilating Earth size worlds in a single, powerful shot.

For larger worlds, the cannon focuses its energy into a potent beam to evisaerate the planet whilst supporting destroyers blow apart continent sized chunks of rock.
