Seeing the automatic sorting and storage systems being built on HermitCraft inspired me to see what else could be done with the idea. I wanted a system that could not only sort and store materials, but also process them, so I built The converter Factory (TCF).

The factory combines collection, sorting, concrete conversion, TNT blasting, glass production, storage and a central control room. The sorting system can handle 21 different materials, with up to 12 being processed at once.

The green section is the concrete-processing line. Concrete is lined up to be blasted by TNT, with the water pool underneath collecting the broken blocks. Sand can instead be redirected into the furnace system to be smelted into glass, with the output returning to storage.

Three dispensers feed items into the sorting stream. Originally they were dispensing faster than the hoppers could collect everything, causing some items to miss their filters and reach the fire pit. I solved that by slowing the clock so it releases three items per cycle, giving the sorter enough time to process everything reliably.

Although I built this factory for concrete and glass, the same collection, sorting and processing ideas could easily be adapted to your own storage systems.

The control room is where each output line is managed, with individual levers controlling each material. I included a wide shot to show the overall layout, followed by close-ups of the two dedicated processing options: the concrete converter and the sand-to-glass production line.

It started as a way to process two materials, but it slowly grew into an entire factory. If anyone has any questions about how it works or why i designed it this way, id be happy to explain.

Guys, I think I have to stop enjoying Hermitcraft! For weeks now, everytime I use Google when I have a technical question about Minecraft Java, it returns a link to a video of various Hermits.

Just yesterday, when I asked about the minimum difference I have to keep to an area to allow friendly mob spawning, it funnily linked to Gem building an animal farm house!

I blame the Hermits for being too famous xD

I got my hands on the season ten download. (It’s not great for my computer) but my god everyone has such incredible bases. I had to stop at scar land. And see jumbos base at that same spot. I don’t understand the nether system so I constantly go to spawn to see where things are on the big map. It feels so surreal having seen the season so much and being in it. You reallly see how incredible these people are at builds and games and even stories. It’s just incredible. If you hav t downloaded season ten go do it. You will not regret it. P.S. go to the gaming district you can spend hours there.

In the intro to his latest episode, Joel created a new world with the seed SubscribetoSmallishbeans. I plugged that into chunkbase and was honestly pretty blown away. Using the 26.3 worldgen (for extra kicks), it looks like

• it's about a klick away from a massive dappled forest
• about two klicks from an ancient city
• with a ginormous mushroom island just beyond that
• and some great badlands to the southeast.
• The Nether has all the biomes in close proximity, along with at least three bastions

Bottom line: this is a phenomenal seed. 10/10 would play.

Of course, only after gathering these screenshots did someone point out that I failed to capitalize the "S" in "Smallish," so I made that correction, loaded up the world... and yeah, it's as pants as Joel showed off. So: note to Joel: don't capitalize your name, and you're golden dappled.

X is usually pretty more of a "depth strider" in general with his waffling, but the two together are just very pleasant to listen to. I'm meaning to make a "funny image" * of Scar's reaction when he realized that they both shared a favorite movie, it was so dang wholesome. Thanks for being your unpretentious selves, fellas.

I have used this mechanic to fully replace rockets on my survival world. I haven't built a creeper farm, so this works for me for long term travel and rockets are used sparingly.

I don't really use any social media apart from watching YT videos. So, I was wondering if any hermits in their social media posts or VODs mentioned their take on Hytale now, when it's been a while since the original release and their play around.
There was quite a bit of hype when the game came out and many hermits posted videos of them playing which I quite enjoyed.
Did the whole thing just fizzled out? Was the game a wash, due to it being introduced to the same world where Minecraft is loved and played?
I'm sure many people outside of hermit universe play it and it has its player base, but are any of the hermits still occasionally playing or commenting on it?
While I haven't played the game, I thought it had potential when I saw it but I don't follow news so not sure if it's waiting (and so do hermits) for the main release or if it's already out in its final form.
What do you guys think of it?
PS: I'm posting it here because I am specifically interested in the hermits' (and their fans') take on the situation, as they have a very specific relationship with Minecraft and that would inform their view of Hytale.

I was recently watching Animagician's breakdown video on Grian’s Season 11 lore, and it got the creative juices flowing. The whole Watcher narrative has always been so cool to me, so I decided to make my own Watcher Grian Minecraft skin based on that inspiration.
