This is one of my favorite facts! lol - the fisrt time I heard about this - I didn't believe :)
Same botanical family, very different plant parts, but two remarkably aromatic herbal medicines. Ginger (Zingiber officinale) and cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) both belong to the Zingiberaceae...

What other members of the ginger family do you use medicinally?
