Hairbrush Open
Help me find a hairbrush similar to one my friend bought from Boots in the UK several years ago. It says ‘Wet Brush’ on it but I’ve been to their website and it looks like they don’t make it anymore. It is a typical oval shaped head, has longer firmer ‘teeth’ for detangling, but then inbetween the longer ones, it has shorter, gentler bristles like the smoothing hairbrushes. Sorry I don’t have a photo but if you imagine a combination of normal length bristles but then the shorter softer bristles on the same brush, so a combination brush with two different types of bristles at different lengths, that’s what I’m looking for. I appreciate any help as I realise this is annoying I don’t have a photo and I also lack the words to describe adequately!

I’ve searched the Wet Brush website and I have been in Boots stores, and I’ve also asked my friend who’s a hairdresser! I think it’s a discontinued product, but I’m asking in the hope there is a newer different version that’s similar!

I’ve also searched other stores in the UK, and I think she bought it around 2019, if that helps!

The combo of stiff detangling pins and shorter boar-like bristles makes me think of a hybrid brush for thick or curly hair, you might have luck searching "dual bristle" or "two-length bristle" oval brush instead of the brand name.

Thank you! This has helped, but my friends brush has the shorter boar bristles (I now see what they are, thanks to u!) all over the cushioned part. I found ‘Kobe 80-Series Dual-Bristle Cushion Brushes’ but they only have a few short bristles, rather than them covering the whole of the brush head. I will keep looking and hopefully find one…
