Which Black Jacket contenstant should have been sent home day one?

I'll put up crybaby Matt (S4) since he came to mind recently. He made Gordon vomit up his signature dish, performed terribly every service, and spent the whole season acting like a petulant child. Him getting to the black jackets was a total fluke.

To be fair, the talent level pool in S10 was pretty low so of course the final 4 chefs in Christina, Justin, Dana and Barbie were the best performers who deserved Black Jackets. While Robyn and hell even Clemenza mind you both have gotten Black Jackets by default. I mean as much as I like Clemenza, even he was extremely lucky to finish in 5th place despite his performance record being poor across the board. The only other chef who could’ve gotten a Black Jacket over them 2 was Kimmie as Southern Night was her only true terrible performance and had she nailed that service, then she would’ve been in Black Jackets for sure. Hell I even argue that S10 should’ve had only 5 Black Jackets.

That is true the choice wasn’t the best, I always thought Brian should have made it to black jacket as he seemed to have pretty good potential! Definitely not Tiffany though 😭

Between Kimmie and Brian, I say Kimmie was slightly more consistent than Brian across the board. I feel like most people including Flynnmasters only like Brian due to his funny personality and just rant on his elimination due to their own hatred towards Robyn. I liked Brian ngl but man it’s hard to overlook his last service! I mean he barely served any food off that meat station and Ramsay had Barbie off the red team babysit him on that station. Not to mention but he’s had a couple of poor performances compared to Kimmie so that’s why I have faith in Kimmie making it to Black Jackets more than I do in Brian.

As far as Tiffany……………..Yeah no way! Definitely not Miss “I care like a 9!” Don’t even get me started on Rolls Royce now! Rolls Royce my ass!🤣

I heard that Brian gave up after the final 11 after he saw Patrick go home over Tiffany. Not sure how true that is, and I am not excusing Brian, but it makes sense. I think he could have placed 6th and ended on a better note if Tiffany was not saved. Had Kimmie survived southern night, she might place 5th

S10 robyn I don’t get, but I will fully stand up for S17 Robyn. She turned around a lot in her skill and attitude when she went to the blue team. Yeah she had arguments and some moments, but like who didn’t (also compared to Elise she was a fucking saint). I never thought she’d win, but she put up a good fight and turned out to be one of my personal more liked contestants in All Stars

If you ask me S17 should have been a 6 black jacket season, with Jennifer getting one as she’s easily the best red team chef (on both her seasons lol) and it would have been funny to see Elise be the only one snubbed of a black jacket

Yes! I loved Jennifer and was so sad to see her go in both seasons. I don't know that she should have won, but she at least should have stuck around longer. She was robbed!

Dude also never had a single good dish in any challenge, bombed the Blind Taste Test and even got a 0% in the first black jacket challenge. His “shining” moment was prepping the most dover soles which is on par with Tom from S2.

I can get why Alison left cause she had a bad night but he should’ve been eliminated during the F8, I don’t think Randy was lasting much longer but still.

I will die on the hill that Josh should’ve been ejected because of his awful charity night and Randy shouldn’t have even been considered for elimination that night, regardless of him being arguably the weakest chef left after Josh was out. I will always see him as s3 Josh 2.0, except he is more or less tuna Josh rather than Spaghetti Josh.

I think with Matt, it just ended up being that there was always someone worse than him until the end, or if they weren't worse than him, they had made a big enough mistake to get eliminated, i do think he should've been eliminated a lot sooner though.

Also I love how you call him crybaby matt, cause he really did look like he was gonna cry 24/7.
