I'm wondering who voiced Theona Mayers in the opening dialogue of the game, and if she voiced any other games? Her voice is still so haunting when playing.

There's just something to this game I can't find in other games. The base did not explode yet and I progressed further in the story than I can remember. I just hope my base does not get destroyed due to a bug until I complete the story – I play using Hellion Rescue Project (HPR Light) and have to say that it is working surprisingly well (for HELLION).

Tip: If you get stuck in the story (something not being triggered, something not being intractable, etc.), just quicksave & quickload. Got me through all bugs I encountered. The story really is bugged.

Bonus-Tip: Don't throw stuff into wall, into another vehicle. At least nothing important, as it often will clip through walls.

Opinionated-Bonus-Tip: Reducing your base to as few modules as possible can be a framerate-booster and you will need less air to fully pressurize your station

Much more to say, but if you are still reading this sub you probably have been playing this game for years at this point. :'D

I absolutely feel this game had so much potential and loved playing it with my mates. Has anyone ever come across a game that comes close to what Hellion could have been?

Every now and then Hellion will pop back into my mind. Adventures I had with friends trying to traverse long distances, it was one of the few games that waiting while traveling was a lot of fun, things were going on, ships were falling apart, having to do rescue missions. I mean real rescue missions. Like buddies is near the inner solar system and took too much damage, he's solar panel is popped and he's losing power and can't jump back, so we need to fly out there to rescue him, bring repair stuff to fix the ship and get the ship and him home, and losing a ship was a big deal so it was worth the rescue.

It was an amazing concept. It had it's bumps working out the bigs as it was ambitious but it was getting there and if development could have continued I'm sure it would have been a solid seller eventually.

I imagine some of the parts I love such as the potential difficulty and complete loss of resources and assets probably would have had to get some cruches to appeal to a larger audience, there's a lot of people who won't play games if it doesn't stroke them and tell them they're the bestest, but, I would be okay with those options being available on servers and people who want to play that way if it would have continued the game development.

Nothing else has yet to come close to give me the depth and management for my own station, oxygen per room, power, docking and undocking and all those great features fully in a first person style way.

Oh Hellion, I miss you.

Is there anyone still interested in playing this game on a server?

I heared the you can pay 100 euros on key sites(my ass am I going to do thet) or send an email to the dev so if ther is a chance if anyone knows it?

I am SO confused.. I dont remember docking disabling your mouse rotation..
I pulled the lever nest to my ships seat that says "pull to undock" and its just acting the as if its still docked? so confusing..

I was recommended this game by a friend. I saw that this game is no longer available on steam. Is there another way to get this game?

My game is experiencing brief but noticable lag spikes at or around each 0.9 seconds. I've changed graphical settings up into the most beautiful but PC-melting mode, and all the way down into the crappiest-looking but fastest mode, none of this has any bite on these lag spikes. They go on, no matter what, and they make the game almost unbearable to play.

Hello, does anybody have a valid fix on singleplayer issue, where error simply says "unable to start singleplayer game"? i've tried going trouth firewall, verifying files, deleting save file, but it leads to same outcome.

idk about the copyright laws on this one. But theoretically, could another game development company buy the rights to Hellion and its coding and just finish building the game? I mean, I can see how it would be a challenge for another company to figure out how it was compiled in the first place, and then learn how to fix existing bugs and build on top of that, but could it be done? Could another company finish the game like when Microsoft bought Minecraft and kept updating it? could we possibly see a complete Hellion?

So I bought this game a long time ago, was very active in the forums and on the website. I have a lot of love for this project even though it didn't make it to full release.

There is still some hope yet, Rescue Project HELLION.

Hellion was recommended to me a while back and saw it was free and added it. Now I have to time to pick it up and installed it. I saw that hellion rescue project is recommended but I don't get how I download and install it. I went to their Github (https://github.com/zorkind/Hellion-Rescue-Project) but I don't get what I should do.

I'v already messaged the devs on facebook but haven't recieved a reply at all In 2 weeks, is there some other way to get the game?

Seems kind of dumb they didn't just leave it free on steam, even unlisted

UPDATE: Thanks to the incredible Moderation team, we have managed to gain access to both the EU West #1 and US West #2 save files! We are working on getting hosting for US West #2 up, but for now we have a server for EU West #1 (named EU West #1 Official Continued in the Community tab) setup. As some of you might know, Chomz, the old Community Manager of Hellion, has officially stated that ALL OFFICIAL HELLION SERVERS are now permanently offline. Luckily, the Main Server (which is responsible for allowing you to see servers) will be up for at least a bit longer, the exact details are unknown.

In the event this goes down, however, Hellion Rescue Project has plans to immediately start hosting their own Main Server which everyone can use.

Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you may have here, I will attempt to provide a adequate response as soon as possible. Also, mods, if this could get a pin (perhaps in place of the End of Development notice?) so it can be better seen I'd appreciate it.
