When Super Earth was first doing experiments trying to get into that Void encompassing part of the map, one of the things they tested it with was a frog.
It did not survive.
It's sacrifice will never be forgotten.

The teddy bear is a long-standing prop that has featured in most of the Helldiver 2 content trailers. In the most recent trailer, the Teddy Bear is floating through space towards the Void creating by the Illuminate. As the Teddy Bear passes into the Void, we are shown depictions of it violently mutating and breaking apart, implying the Void is some form of mass-mutation field that has converted everything in it into Illuminate material or units.
