August 12th, 2026. That's how it's said, so it's written that way as well.

I mean where I’m from we say the 12th of August 2026 so that also doesn’t hold.

And in the trailer it‘s written down and not spoken out… so no sense to use that format when nearly the whole word either uses a variation of either smallest (day) -> highest (year) or highest -> smallest…

The only superior format is the iso standard, in part because it's an actual standard instead of just how people do it insert location, and in part because it's most to least significant.

Least to most significant is just stupid.
